🐾Sarah carries a standard of excellence in all her work. It is such a privilege to work alongside her. I can tell that she loves and cares deeply for what she does, and it's evident in so many facets of the job.

🐾Dana is an incredibly hard-worker with a positive attitude. Her consistent commitment to her duties is admirable. She is a wealth of knowledge, and is always willing to help out whenever asked, including with blood collection at Basinview! She is an exceptional technician and we could not function without her!

🐾Sarah always goes above and beyond for our patients, clients, and to support her colleagues. She is always amazing at staying level-headed, even in an emergency, and her unwavering confidence is inspiring! She is a fantastic technician and she is a vital part of our team.

Meet Sarah, the heart and soul of Basinview Animal Hospital💖

Sarah’s care and compassion are second to none. She has an innate ability to calm the most nervous of pet parents and comfort the most reluctant of patients. She carries the hospital on her back, day in and day out, completely committed to our clientele and ensuring they feel supported throughout the entire Basinview experience, even long after she’s gone home! If you’ve ever texted or emailed us after-hours, you’ve had the pleasure of conversing with Sarah. She is always there to answer questions, reassure and guide you through any concerns with your beloved furry friend 🐶🐱

Sarah is an animal lover through and through, never one to shy away from a rambunctious dog or a spicy kitty! She has long been an advocate for Fear Free practice, and has a soft spot for fearful or reserved patients, often becoming their favourite person to see at the hospital. She is dedicated to educating clients and staff on the positive impact that pre-visit pharmaceuticals can have on the veterinary experience for all beings involved.

She is the surgery and anesthesia queen, ultimate problem solver and designated Mother Hen. She somehow knows every detail of every single case that walks through our doors, even when she wasn’t in the building!👀

Sarah has an endless wealth of knowledge and fantastic clinical judgement. She’s calm, methodical and unwaveringly supportive when things get hard, and exactly the person you want next to you in an emergency. She lifts others up and empowers others by instilling confidence when they can’t find it themselves. Sarah is the epitome of a team player, and we could not function without her. She’s our hospital hero and we thank our lucky stars that we have her on our team.

Meet Dana: RVT and Master Kitty Expert!!

Dana works at our sister clinic, Bedford Cat Clinic, a facility that is 100% dedicated to providing the highest standard of feline medicine, and Dana embodies that goal every single day. You might not see her often at Basinview, but her skills, expertise and education transcend both locations!!

Dana is the ULTIMATE crazy cat lady 😻From her expertise in ALL aspects of feline care, to her endless collection of kitty themed office supplies, clothing and trinkets, you will NOT find a more dedicated kitty lover!!

Dana is a passionate advocate for Feline Friendly and Fear Free practices. Thanks to her ever growing wealth of knowledge of feline medicine and behaviour, she is not only able to educate our clients, but her fellow colleagues in low stress handling, feline behaviour (and how it differs from our canine friends), as well as environmental enrichment in both the hospital setting and at home.

Dana has worked tirelessly to make meaningful, positive change for you and your feline family member at Bedford Cat Clinic AND Basinview Animal Hospital. Her kitty guru status has helped mold not only how we handle our feline friends, but provided us all with a deeper understanding of what makes cats unique as patients.

From the moment you walk in the door, she’s already implemented several strategies to alleviate stress in your feline friend throughout the entire visit: Fear Free handling, a low stress environment and focus on gentle restraint with positive reinforcement. And of course, giving LOADS of praise and comments on how gorgeous/cute your kitty is (they feel the love!)

Dana has dedicated herself to making Bedford Cat Clinic AND Basinview Animal Hospital the absolute best place to bring your kitty for exceptional veterinary care. We appreciate her for her patience, compassion, empathy, knowledge, and advocacy.

Registered veterinary technicians (RVTs) are the backbones of every animal hospital. We simply could not function without our wonderful RVTs, who carry immense expertise, skill and compassion into everything they do💕

This week, we are celebrating our RVTs Dana and Sarah. Trust us when we say that these two fantastic women are the epitome of what it means to provide exceptional veterinary care. We hope to give you a glimpse at how they keep us functioning day in and day out through the week, and kindly ask that you join us showing them just how adored they are!
