Last night, we met Rosa, and we are heartbroken.

Rosa arrived at Guelph Humane Society suffering from severe neglect. Her nails are so overgrown that she struggles to walk. Her skin is painfully infected. Her fur is thin and patchy, and a large untreated growth hangs from her mouth.

She was found alone, frightened and in pain.

Today, Rosa's healing begins, but we don't yet know the extent of her medical needs or what her recovery will cost.

What we do know is this: she needs us right now.

Our veterinary team is working to ease her pain and give her the compassionate care she has been denied for far too long. But we cannot do it without your help.

The Guelph Humane Society is now recruiting dog foster volunteers!

Calling all dog lovers in Guelph and Wellington County! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of dogs in need? The Guelph Humane Society needs your help! We're now recruiting dog foster volunteers to join our compassionate team.

Fostering is a rewarding experience that provides temporary homes for dogs waiting for their new homes and families. Whether it's a medium to large breed dog, energetic puppy or gentle senior, your love and care can make all the difference. We are also looking for foster parents that currently have a full fenced in backyard to help with our more energetic/large breed dogs needing foster placements.
