Did you know that April is Heartworm Awareness Month?
Heartworm Disease is transmitted by infected mosquitoes and can affect both cats and dogs, leading to potentially life-threatening complications. Heartworm is actively transmitted by mosquitoes as soon as the temperature reaches around 15 degrees C, and ticks can become active at temperatures as low as 0 degrees C; that means that now is the ideal time to start giving your furry friends their parasite prevention for the season!
If you have any questions about parasite prevention, give us a call at 519-265-8387, and we would be happy to discuss the best options for you and your pets!
