🐾 Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day! 🐾

Today, we celebrate and recognize our incredible veterinarians for the dedication, compassion, and expertise they bring to our patients and clients every day.

Being a veterinarian means much more than diagnosing illnesses and performing surgeries. It means comforting worried families, making difficult decisions, celebrating happy outcomes, and always advocating for the well-being of the animals in their care. The work is demanding, both physically and emotionally, but our veterinarians continue to show up each day with kindness, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to their patients.

A special thank you to Dr. Misiaszek, Dr. Buchanan, and Dr. Collis. Your knowledge, leadership, compassion, and hard work make a difference in the lives of countless pets and their families. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Tamarack Veterinary Clinic team.

And of course, behind every great veterinarian is a wonderful support team. Thank you to our RVTs, CSRs, and VMAs who work alongside our doctors to provide exceptional care every day.

To make the day even more special, one of our amazing clients surprised us with pizza and pop to help celebrate. Thank you for your kindness and generosity—we truly appreciate it!

Meet Norma.

When Norma started coming to our clinic in December 0f 2024 she was deemed a special case due to her extreme anxiety. What this looks like at a clinic level is lots of alerts on file and numerous reminders to staff that Norma is highly reactive and only to be scheduled with specific staff members. What this looks like at a personal level is many missed birthdays and holidays with the family, stressful walks/trips to the dog park, and lots of prescriptions to pick up...

Since then, Norma has made incredible progress and we are overjoyed to share this photo of her. At her appointment today, we were able to give Norma all the love and care that she was always deserving of. We were even able to place a colorful bandana around her neck. It may seem like a small step but this is something we could never have done a year ago.
