Ellie worked on her reactivity and off leash skills around a new canine friend, Marshall, who was such a gentle giant with this nervous girlie! Cooper worked on his off leash reliability and social skills at Pawradise Acres! These two good pups worked so hard today! 💪💪

I’m definitely picky about toys because the design really changes how interactive the play feels. I love toys with a good handle or enough length for the human to comfortably move and engage with while still giving the dog something exciting to chase, tug or grab onto. Even flirt poles fit into this category and can be such a fun way to play together!

Of course there are tons of toys dogs can enjoy on their own but I really love the ones that encourage teamwork and interaction. Those little moments of tug, chase and play together can do so much for your relationship and help make you part of the fun! 🤘❤️

Rosa & Albus teamed up today!
These two sensitive souls are both working through on leash dog reactivity and learning how to feel safer around new humans, so we paired them together for a session built around trust, choice and communication. We started by helping them get to a comfortable place around each other, working through the dog side of things first, then shifted gears into relationship-building with new people through fun food games.
Watching both of these dogs slowly soften, get curious and start opening up was such a good reminder that progress doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.
Your reactive dog doesn’t need a “perfect” dog to learn from. Sometimes they just need another reactive dog and humans willing to meet them with patience and an open mind! 💕✨

Punk and I took a trip out to Brockville to work with two very good boys and their training goals in the real world!
Miller, the young golden, is putting in the work on his loose leash walking around big distractions like other dogs and exciting environments. He’s got plenty of energy and we’re learning that after he’s had a bit of a chance to burn some of that off, he can offer some really nice, thoughtful loose leash walking. So we’ve been building a plan around setting him up for success first, then layering in calm, connected leash skills in the middle of all the fun. 💙
We also got to see Cooper, the boxer, who’s been working on channeling his prey drive and sharpening his dog social skills. He genuinely wants to be social and after the initial greeting he did a really solid job staying neutral with Punk and making good choices. His recall and overall listening skills have come a long way over the last couple of weeks and it’s starting to really show in how quickly he can tune back in even with distractions around. ❤️
Two different dogs, two different training paths, but both making steady progress toward the same goal: better focus, better choices and more freedom in the real world. ✨✨✨

Ellie, the pretty black lab, just finished three reactivity sessions and is killin’ it! Team Ellie is also working with so she has a super solid foundation, we worked together on her comfort level around new dogs in a rich environment where she has a lot of choice and opportunity to make good choices. For the most part, she is avoidant and nervous but we are seeing her curiosity and confidence grow with each session! Pesto and Theo would love to win her over. So proud of this team! Next up is some FOMO work so that Ellie is ready to take on some dog sport classes while patiently waiting her turn! 🩷💙
