🎉🐾 Celebrating 10 Years of Caring for Animals Great and Small! 🐾🎉

This year, Somersby Animal Hospital proudly celebrates 10 years of caring for the animals and families in our community.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of treating not only dogs and cats, but also birds, reptiles, pocket pets, horses, livestock, and many other beloved companions. Every patient, no matter how big or small, feathered, furry, or scaled, has been part of our journey.

We are incredibly grateful to our loyal clients for trusting us with the care of your animals, and to our amazing team—past and present—whose dedication, compassion, and hard work have helped make Somersby Animal Hospital what it is today.

Thank you for being part of our story. We are honoured to have shared so many milestones, celebrations, challenges, and cherished moments with you and your animals over the last 10 years. We couldn’t have done it without you.

⚠️ LOST DOG – PLEASE HELP ⚠️

We are looking for a lost dog in the Murrays Run Road area, Laguna.

He is an older dog and may be disoriented and frightened. He can also be a little nervous, so please approach him calmly and gently if seen.

He isn’t microchipped.
He is safe and warm and his belly is now full.

Yesterday, we paused to honor and remember the courage and sacrifice of all who have served our country - including the animals who stood by them.

A reminder that Somersby Animal Hospital will be closed Monday 27th April for the public holiday.

📢🌷 Important Easter Announcement from Our Team 🐰💛

This weekend we’re hopping into Easter mode! Since it’s Easter time, our clinic will be closed for the weekend ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) so our team can spend some special time with family (and maybe a few chocolate eggs too! 🍫✨).

We will be back and ready to care for your furry friends on Tuesday.

Little Moira came in today to see Dr Worley for her puppy vaccination 🐾💉

Safe to say ….. the cuddles were just as important as the consult 🥰

She was an absolute superstar!!

Benny came in today for his vaccines, and we are officially in love. 🐾

He gave us the cutest snuggles, the biggest puppy eyes, and handled his vaccinations like a champ.

Moments like this remind us why we love what we do — helping our tiny patients grow up healthy, happy, and protected.

You did amazing today, Benny! We can’t wait to watch you grow. 🥹✨

Beautiful Carlos is the last puppy that was surrendered to us looking for a home❤️

He will make the perfect addition to your family !

Carlos – Last of the Lost Litter 🤍

✔️ 4 month old Cattle x Staffy
✔️ Desexed
✔️ Fully vaccinated

Carlos is currently in foster care in Niagara Park, Central Coast NSW, however he will be attending an adoption day this Saturday at Petbarn Marrickville (12pm–2pm) if you’d like to meet him.

When Alaska’s siblings were surrendered to be euthanised for treatable issues, we moved quickly to support the incredible vet team at Somersby.

Homes were found for the litter. All but one. Carlos is now the last boy still searching for his forever !!!

He moved into foster care last week with one of our clients and his favourite thing is chasing a ball. He is confident, playful with his heeler and ridgeback foster sisters, and not afraid of a bit of rough and tumble.

Carlos already knows sit, has good recall, walks well on leash and is learning about the big wide world. He’s still working on toilet training but does go on command, uses the doggy door, and sleeps in the laundry with his foster sisters at night.

He plays hard.Sleeps hard.Loves a cuddle.

GOATS ON THE LOOSE

Two black goats with black ear tags are loose on Debenham Road, heading down to Gosford. Two of our staff members attempted to catch them this evening but unfortunately they escaped into the bush.

If you are missing two goats of this description, they were last seen at 6.30pm, between the two blind corners heading into West Gosford.

If you are driving in this area, please go slowly and watch out for them 🐐
