It is a fun way for your pup to learn, socialise and build confidence in a positive environment.

It's the little things that happen daily that we love! 🥰

🐶 Bring their favourite toy in to show us.

🐶 Refuse to leave because they're having too many pats.

🐶 Wiggle their whole bum because they're just THAT excited to see us.

🐶 Lean their entire body weight against us for cuddles.

🐱 Stick their little paws out to say hello.

🐱 Purr the second we check on them.

🐱 Give us little headbutts for more pats.

🎃👻 Keeping our pets calm this Halloween 🐾

Halloween can be a bit of fun, but for some pets, all the costumes, decorations, doorbells and little visitors can be a bit overwhelming!

A few things to keep in mind this Halloween:

🍫 Keep the treats out of reach – Chocolate and lollies are dangerous for pets.

🚪 Watch the front door – With trick or treaters coming and going, it's easy for a curious pet to sneak outside. Make sure they're safe and secure.

🐾 Give them somewhere quiet – If things get a bit too much, let them hang out in a quiet room with their bed, toys and water.

👻 Don't force the dress-ups – Some pets are happy in costumes, while others aren't fans at all. If they're uncomfortable, skip it!

❤️ Keep an eye on their behaviour – Hiding, pacing, panting or trembling can be signs they're feeling stressed.

Not every pet is a fan of Halloween, and that's okay! A little bit of planning can help make the night less stressful for everyone. As long as your pet has a safe space, they should be okay!

This gorgeous 7 month old girl came in for her spey procedure 😍 She has the biggest, bushiest tail ever!

After having her bandage removed, Lucky was being a big smooch on the treatment table, soaking up all the love! 🥰💗

💧 How can you encourage your cat to drink more? 🐱

Cats can be notoriously fussy about their water, but good hydration is important for all cats, particularly important for male cats, as they have a narrower urethra and are at greater risk of a urinary blockage.

Keeping your cat hydrated is an important way to help support healthy urinary function and produce more dilute urine.

Here are a few simple ways to encourage more water intake:

🍗 Try wet food
A good quality set food contains a much higher percentage of water than dry food, making it an easy way to increase your cat's daily fluid intake.

⛲ Try a water fountain
Some cats prefer moving or running water, so a fountain can encourage them to drink more.

💧 Offer multiple water bowls
Place fresh water in several quiet, easily accessible spots around the home.

🧼 Keep bowls clean
Cats can be very particular! Refresh their water regularly and wash their bowls frequently.

🚨 Know the warning signs
If your cat is repeatedly going to the litter tray, straining to urinate, producing little or no urine, crying when urinating or becoming distressed, contact us immediately.

A blocked bladder is a life threatening emergency, particularly in male cats.

This adorable 10 week old Chihuahua × Pomeranian came in for his puppy vaccinations. 🩺

At just 1.3 kg, he’s absolutely tiny but he’s already got plenty of personality! 🐾

Magpies are most likely to swoop during breeding season when they’re protecting their eggs or babies.

🪶 What are they trying to tell you?

A swoop is essentially a warning:
“You’re too close to my nest. Please move away.”

Magpies often give cues before swooping, so learning to recognise them can help avoid conflict.

Look for:
👀 Watching or following you
📢 Warning calls
🪶 Flying low nearby
🚲 Repeatedly approaching people in the area

Listen to the cues. If a magpie is warning you, calmly move away and give them space.

Be cautious, respect their warnings and, most importantly, don’t interfere with their nests or babies. 🖤🤍
