🐰💙 Daisy’s Blocked Nasolacrimal Tear Duct procedure
Beautiful Daisy, our dwarf lop-eared bunny, came to Edgewater Veterinary Hospital with symptoms of a blocked nasolacrimal (tear) duct.
A blocked tear duct can cause:
👁️ Watery or weepy eyes
🟡 Discharge around the eye
🤧 Wet fur on the face
😣 Eye irritation and discomfort
🦠 Increased risk of infection
Daisy’s tear duct was carefully flushed to help clear the blockage and restore normal tear drainage under anaesthetic
✨ Why is tear duct flushing beneficial?
It can help relieve discomfort, improve tear drainage, reduce discharge and help prevent ongoing irritation or infection.
Rabbits can be very good at hiding signs of illness, so changes around the eyes, nose or face should always be checked by your veterinarian.

Lenny had the best day being pampered at Edgewater Vet Hospital with our wonderful groomer Caroline! 💛
From a relaxing bath and gentle groom to plenty of cuddles and care, Lenny enjoyed a full puppy spa day and left looking and feeling fantastic!

🧡 Georgie Is Recovering Beautifully! 🦜
We're so excited to share some wonderful news about Georgie!
Georgie recently underwent surgery to remove a large lump the size of a golf ball, performed by Dr Jacqui with the assistance of Nurse Lauren.
Georgie is now recovering beautifully & is eating well and has even started whistling again—something she hadn't done in months! Seeing her bright personality return has been incredibly rewarding for both her family and our team.
A huge thank you to Dr Jacqui and Nurse Lauren for the exceptional care they provided throughout Georgie's journey.
At Edgewater Vet Hospital, we have a real passion for caring for birds, and it's always a privilege to help our feathered patients get back to doing what they love.
