Penfold Thoroughbreds is new on the scene of sales preparation and consigning. We started with a bang in 2025 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier sale, finishing on 100% of 10 horses offered, sold. The draft topper being the Mehmas x Salmah c**t whom realised $420,000 to Dom Sutton Racing in Book 1 and in Book 2, the Wooded x Calaway Cruiser c**t sold to the tune of $160,000 to Kendall Bloodstock. At
the Magic Millions Adelaide we offered only 3 beautiful, athletic types, by sought after sires and we were delighted to sell all 3 with ease. It has always been a dream of mine to prepare and sell horses at auction under my own banner, due to lack of funds and very little self confidence, I never truly saw this being a reality.... I still don't have a lot of money- living off bread and water isn't always so bad!- but I have gained a bit of confidence and this dream is finally coming to fruition, with the support of some of the best people to have in my corner within our wonderful industry. A bit about me- most will know my face from being on the end of a lead at the majority of international and Australia wide thoroughbred sales. I have 20 years experience within the thoroughbred industry, having worn the various uniforms of many studs and consignors in the Northern and Southern hemispheres, a few of those being The National Stud, Cheveley Park Stud, Eliza Park International, Kitchwin Hills, Aquis Farms, Twin Hills and Swettenham Stud. I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge from working for so many companies, learning what works and what doesn't work when it comes to preparing these finely tuned athletes for the auction ring and setting them up for their future racing careers. I have been fortunate to work with some amazing bloodstock over these years and and I plan to move forward consigning a similar calibre of horses in the future. You can be assured that your horse will be treated like royalty when in my care. I do my absolute best by each animal, each having their own personalised feed regime and exercise plan. I am also big on regular communications and was praised by this years clients for doing that.
