Looking for local Melbourne dog businesses.

We are on 16 acres. The Farm Boarding Kennels in Diggers Rest. We do dog boarding and doggy daycare and hoping to offer more services to our clients, like dog training, puppy school, agility, grooming, photography and more. Happy to rent out space for someone’s business or they can work under our name. Plenty of options and plenty of beautiful farm land space!

Meet Nakita 🐎
Our local horse expert! Nakita has taught us so much about horses and we continue to learn more each day. Nakita is here looking after her horses in rain, hail or shine! Horses are more than a hobby for her. She competes on both Mister and Birdie and has competed up to 1.10m in show jumping. She is also huge car lover, enjoys listening to the singer Birdy and her favourite dog breeds are the Australian Shepard and Staffys. Nakita is an equine body massage therapist and has begun setting up her own business. Nakita is always fixing and tinkering or working on something. She doesn’t like to sit still! We have loved getting to know her and her horses over the past few months.

Meet Jess 🐴
A few months ago we had some new friends move in. 8 Horses! Mister, Roxy, Birdie, Cruze, Marshall, Copper, Biscoff & Tucker. This is Jess, owner of Cruze and Roxy. We have loved getting to know Jess and all the friendly horses. Jess also helps us out on The Farm with the dogs. She loves listening to Tate McRae and her favourite dog breed is a poodle. Jess is currently studying Criminology and loves the outdoors. Jess has a twin brother that also cares for the horses. Jess has been competitively rising since 12 year old. You will see her face around The Farm, welcome to say hello to both her and her horses. They love carrots!

Meet Brodie 🐾
Brodie started working with me back in 2020 when I had my Flemington doggy daycare and salon business. He was my go to man! First starting out as an animal attendant, he quickly stood out and become manager. Brodie is fantastic at everything he does. Working with dogs, behind the scenes of running a business and at his many talented hobbies. He can play the cello! It was so sad to part ways when I sold that business but we have remained very close friends through the years. Brodie currently works at The Lost Dogs Home and also helps us out by staying onsite overnight when we are away. He and his wife share a love for animals and have many pets from fish, rabbits, cats and dogs. Plum being pictured here. He loves listening to Queen, woodworking and 3D printing and also has a passion to foster kittens.
