Experienced Dog Boarding Attendant (Casual)
Wallaroo, ACT/NSW Border | Immediate Start

Camp Bow Wow Canberra is a premium boutique dog boarding kennel located in Wallaroo, just outside Canberra. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care, personalised attention and a safe, enriching environment for every dog in our care.

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Casual Dog Boarding Attendant to join our small, supportive team. This is not a job where you'll spend all day cuddling puppies. It's a physically demanding, fast-paced role caring for dogs to an exceptionally high standard.

About the role
Your duties will include:
• Handling dogs of all breeds and sizes safely and confidently
• Supervising one-on-one exercise sessions
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels to a high standard
• Feeding dogs and administering medications (training provided where required)
• Monitoring health and behaviour
• Providing outstanding care and attention to every guest

About you
This role would suit someone who:
• Has previous experience working in a boarding kennel, dog daycare, veterinary clinic, animal shelter or similar animal care environment
• Is confident handling large and energetic dogs
• Is physically fit and capable of walking 15,000-25,000 steps during a shift
• Enjoys physical work including lifting, cleaning and being on your feet all day
• Is calm, patient and observant around animals
• Works well independently and as part of a small team
• Has excellent reliability and attention to detail
• Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transport (essential, as public transport does not service our location)

Availability
We're looking for someone with flexible availability who can work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
Immediate availability is highly desirable.

Coco is a beautiful 1.5-year-old desexed female Kelpie looking for an active and loving new home.

She is highly intelligent, loyal, affectionate and extremely responsive to training. Coco would thrive with a family who has an active lifestyle with plenty of engagement.

Raised as part of a family with children, Coco has a gentle temperament, loves human companionship, travels well, and is happiest being included in family life. She has been both an indoor companion at night and an outdoor dog during the day.

Coco would fit in well with an active family or an owner dedicated to daily exercise. After getting to know Coco better, we feel she would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog initially.

Coco has a kind, attentive nature. Like many young Kelpies, she can dig if bored, so secure fencing and engagement are important. She has been living with a 2.5 year old GSP and is good with other dogs in social settings.

Currently located at Camp Bow Wow on the outskirts of Canberra.
