Coco is a beautiful 1.5-year-old female Kelpie from respected working dog lines looking for an active and loving new home.

She is highly intelligent, loyal, affectionate and extremely responsive to training. Coco has natural working instincts around sheep and would thrive with a family who has an active lifestyle with plenty of engagement.

Raised as part of a family with children, Coco has a gentle temperament, loves human companionship, travels well, and is happiest being included in family life. She has been both an indoor companion at night and an outdoor dog during the day.

Coco would best suit:
• An active family
• Someone familiar with working breeds
• A home where she has stimulation, purpose and companionship

Coco has a kind, attentive nature. Like many young Kelpies, she can dig if bored, so secure fencing and engagement are important. She has been living with a 2.5 year old GSP and is good with other dogs.

Currently located at Camp Bow Wow on the outskirts of Canberra.

🌞 Heatwave Care for Our Dogs 🐾

We’re receiving a lot of calls and messages from many concerned owners as the temperature rises.

During extreme heat like today, our priority is keeping every dog safe, cool and comfortable. We start early (before dawn) to exercise pups while temperatures are still low, especially those with thick coats, short muzzles, overweight and senior dogs who are more heat-sensitive.

Our outdoor yards are fully shaded, and we turn on our water misters as soon as the temperature rises. All dogs return indoors to air-conditioned comfort well before it gets hot. Today they were all back indoors by 10:30am. Outdoor time in the heat of the day is minimal, with short breaks for toileting and the occasional dog bath. Water is available 24/7, the aircon and fans are cooling and we continuously monitor every dog for signs of heat stress or behavioural changes.

Vet guidance will always be sought whenever there’s a concern. Your dog’s wellbeing is our top priority. ❤️
