SOLD!! Kaloona Beattie Bow has officially made her journey to her new family. We are extremely happy with the home she has found and cannot wait to see them out and about together. What is most special (apart from being with this amazing family) is that she has joined Kaloona Stryker (Styx) at the agistment. We wish Tess all the best and are excited to keep everyone updated as Beattie was a crowd and Kaloona favourite.

Beattie is a kind, willing mare suited to a competitive junior or ambitious amateur. Currently jumping 1.15–1.20m and confidently eventing at 1* level, she’s qualified 2*. She’s the same ride whether worked daily or once a week—no buck, rear or silliness after time off.

With a flowing, ground-covering movement and a strong engine, she’s versatile and competitive. Beattie is the same out as she is at home—calm, consistent, and reliable. She can be ridden ba****ck in a halter and lead rope, happily leads or is led from another horse, and is incredibly forgiving.

A genuine, enjoyable ride with all the right buttons.

A few weeks ago Kaloona Beattie Bow made her 1* debut at the Canberra Horse Trials and WOW she did not disappoint. After not having seen a cross country jump in almost 7 months she took the cross country all in her stride. Another top 10 dressage finish (7th) and a lovely showjumping round, Beattie added only 1.2 time for her first 1* and we are extremely proud of this mare. With the few time penalties taking the 3rd place from our grasp we were still ecstatic to stand in the placings with a 5th overall.

It has been a very busy 3 weekends with Gundagai, Canberra and coaching. Kaloona Beattie Bow and Kaloona Ducati have had an excellent start to the year! Beattie did a fantastic ammies at Gundagai to place 3rd and then backed it up for a lovely round at Canberra. She has really stepped up in her going and eagerness to please and put her best foot forward with wanting to clear the jumps with some more air. Kaloona Ducati has also been kicking goals. Just risen 4, and only one comp under his belt he stepped out at Gundagai to place in his second 65cm and then backed it up at Canberra with a lovely clear in his first 80. A lovely filly born in the early hours of this morning. She is still needs to unfold but nonetheless we are very happy with both mum and bub in good health. The breeding of this beautiful filly is Visage x Bellhaven Diamant. She is half sister to Kaloona Vesper.

It has been a busy end to the year for us and we are extremely proud of our homebred horses!

Kaloona Beattie Beau has been nothing but amazing this year with multiple placing eventing and showjumping. True to form Beattie placed in her final three competitions which were Albury Eventing (4th) the Bidgee Showjumping and Canberra Cup. Towards the end of this year Beattie stepped up to the 1.15 and has done some great rounds with a 5th in the Amateur’s at Canberra.

Kaloona Vespers is a lovely little mare we bred that competed in her first two shows. She is just shy of 4years old and is already showing amazing trainability and maturity. She has stepped up at both shows and jumped a lovely clear 70cm round at Canberra. Her breeding is Kaloona Veritas (visage) x Charlemagne Ego Z

Kaloona Ducati also made his debut at the final showjumping competition. For his first outing and only 10 weeks under saddle we are extremely proud of how he handled the atmosphere and all the questions asked of him, including jumping his first 70cm and clear! Ducati has just risen 4 years old and we are very excited for his future. His breeding is Kaloona Supercute (superman) x Dankin (Dinken)

From winning eventing one weekend to showjumping the next. Kaloona Beattie Beau continues to showcase her talent and adaptability. This weekend saw her place 4th in the 1.05 but also step up to compete in her first 1.15.
Finishing on a brilliant win (not in placings but pride), Beattie jumped her first (hopefully of many) clear 1.15 rounds on Sunday. The decision was made to not return for the raised jump off and to finish the weekend on a positive as she had met every challenge presented to her over the past two weekends.

REA Wagga Wagga Horse Trials held at Narrendera last weekend was a big achievement for Kaloona Beattie Beau. Having not competed in eventing for a number of months, Beattie put her best foot forward ending the weekend on her dressage score after jumping clear and under in both showjumping and cross country. With no additional penalties added to her score, Kaloona Beattie Beau managed to take the win in the 95B sponsored by The Narrendera City Shire.

A lot of preparation goes in to holding an event, and we are extremely thankful to the committee, sponsors and other competitors for making this weekend fun and smooth in the running

A bittersweet post to write but SOLD Kaloona Stryker!
Kaloona Stryker is an amazing horse that always manages to steal hearts wherever he goes and this has seen him make the move from our paddock to a repeat buyers paddock. We are over the moon but sad to wave goodbye to Styx and wish him and his new rider Mia Robbins all the best in the future and can’t wait to see the pair out and about but we already know they will be unstoppable. Styx joins fellow Kaloona bred horse, Kaloona Tim Tam and no doubt will be just as loved. As breeders we always wish to find that perfect home, and we are thrilled that not one but two have found this in the same home. Can’t wait for the updates! Good luck Kaloona Stryker and Mia!
