😂🏆 Turns out we had it all wrong!

We thought $1,000 in prize money and a pretty flash YETI esky would be enough to put a smile on our Open winner’s face at the Dower Livestock Colac Stockman’s Challenge…

But judging by these photos, all we really needed to do was give the bloke a winning raffle ticket for a Weber BBQ! 🤣🔥

Same bloke, two prizes… but we reckon we know which one he was more excited about! 😂

Might have to rethink the prize pool for next year! 🐴🍖

🐴 WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND! 🐴🎉

WOW! What an incredible weekend at the 2026 Dower Livestock Colac Stockmans Challenge!

From the entire committee, we want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who helped make our second annual Challenge such a huge success!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for the weekend to run any smoother! A huge thank you to all our competitors for being on time, organised and such fantastic sports throughout the weekend. You certainly made our jobs a whole lot easier! 👏

👏 A massive thank you to all our judges and pencillers for giving up their time and helping everything run so smoothly. We really appreciate your hard work!

🍔 A huge shoutout to our amazing canteen crew who worked tirelessly keeping everyone fed with some absolutely delicious food all weekend!

🥩 And how good was our Saturday night roast dinner, courtesy of MeatCrew?! Proving to be a hit for the second year running! A big thank you also to Gerard and Georgia for providing some fantastic Saturday evening entertainment. What a great way to finish off a big day!

🐴🔥 WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST DAY AT THE COLAC STOCKMAN’S CHALLENGE! 🔥🐴

What a fantastic start to the weekend! 🙌

Everyone brought their A-game today, with some incredible talent, great horsemanship, plenty of smiles and an awesome attitude from all our competitors!

The atmosphere has been fantastic, and it’s been great seeing everyone out there giving it their all, supporting one another and enjoying the competition! 👏🐎

🏆 NOW LET’S BRING IT HOME FOR DAY TWO! 🏆

There’s still plenty of action to come and some fantastic prize money and prizes up for grabs! 💰🔥

☕🍳 SUNDAY MORNING REMINDERS

• The canteen and coffee van will be ready to go from 6:30am, serving up delicious brekkies and much-needed coffees!
• Competition kicks off at 8:00am SHARP, so make sure you’re ready to roll!

🐴 COLAC STOCKMAN’S CHALLENGE – QUICK REMINDER! 🐴

Apologies for the very late notice, everyone!

If you have a jumping safety vest, could you please throw it in with your gear for the weekend for the Time Trial section.

We do have some spare vests available here, so no stress if you don’t have one! We just thought we’d put the word out for anyone who has their own.

🐴 Dower Livestock COLAC STOCKMAN’S CHALLENGE – IMPORTANT WEEKEND INFORMATION! 🐴

With the Challenge almost here, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our grounds map before arriving this weekend!

📍 GROUNDS & CAMPING

• Please stick to the designated camping, parking and horse yard areas shown on the map.
• Water points and toilet facilities are marked for your convenience.
• A water trailer with drinking-quality water will be located above the arenas for the top yards to use.
• 🚿 Showers are located in the canteen facility.
• 🐕 All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
• 💵 The canteen is CASH ONLY! Please come prepared.
• Please respect all NO PARKING areas.
• Please put all poo and leftover hay into the poo trailers provided, and ensure yards are left clean and tidy.

🚫 STRICTLY NO RIDING ON COMPETITION COURSES!

❌ No riding out on any marked competition course areas.

❌ No riding on or attempting any obstacles outside your competition runs.

⚠️ Anyone found riding on marked competition courses or obstacles will face AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION from the competition.

These rules are in place to ensure fairness for all competitors and the safety of horses and riders.
