"There's no way my pet will let me brush their teeth!"

Watch as Dr. Polina demonstrates how to brush your pet's teeth and shares some tips on how to make it a positive experience for everyone.

πŸͺ₯ Grab your supplies: toothbrush and pet-safe toothpaste ( no fluoride)
πŸ‘… Let them taste test first
🀍 Gently lift their lip
🦷 Start at the front teeth and work backwards
⏱ Aim for 20 seconds on each side
πŸ“ Brush at a 45Β° angle, getting right under the gumline
πŸŽ‰ Finish with lots of praise, treats, and cuddles

The secret? Go slow, stay positive, and make it a daily habit.
Brushing your pet's teeth, as often as you can, is one of the best things you can do for their overall health!

Want to stay on top of your pet's dental health? Book a dental check with one of our team.

πŸ” Lump? Bump? Check it out.

In this Geoffisode, Dr Geoff explains why every lump and bump deserves attention.

Before every dental procedure, we perform a thorough nose-to-tail examination, and sometimes it’s those little checks that make a big difference. 🩺✨

During a recent dental, we discovered a small skin lump that hadn’t been noticed at home. It was sampled while the patient was under anaesthetic, and cytology was performed in our in-house lab. The great news? It came back as a benign histiocytoma. πŸ’™

It’s a great reminder that no lump goes unchecked. Even lumps that look harmless can only be accurately identified with testing, and early detection gives us the best opportunity to act if needed.

If you’ve noticed a new lump or bump on your pet, book them in for a check we’re always happy to take a look.

At VetHQ, our experienced team has the knowledge, expertise, and diagnostic tools needed to investigate any lumps and bumps!
