🐣🌸 Easter Safety Reminder for Pet Owners 🌸🐣

Easter is a wonderful time to celebrate with family… but it can also bring hidden dangers for our furry friends.

🚫 Chocolate
Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs and cats. Even small amounts can cause vomiting, restlessness, seizures, or worse. Keep all Easter eggs and treats well out of reach.

🍞 Hot Cross Buns
These festive favourites often contain raisins or sultanas, which are highly toxic to dogs and can lead to kidney failure. Please don’t share them, no matter how convincing those puppy eyes are!

🌼 Lilies
Beautiful but deadly—especially for cats. Even small exposures (like pollen or licking water from a vase) can cause severe kidney failure. It’s safest to avoid lilies entirely in pet households.

🎀 Easter Decorations & Baskets
Cellophane wrap, plastic grass, ribbons, and small toys may look harmless but can cause choking or serious intestinal blockages if swallowed. Keep decorations out of reach and dispose of packaging promptly.

💡 Top Tips:
✔ Store treats high and secure
✔ Keep an eye on pets during celebrations
✔ Remind guests not to feed animals human food
✔ Contact your vet immediately if you suspect ingestion

Meet Noodle 🐾

Noodle is in with us today for his procedure and an all-day stay and we just had to share something that made our team smile 💛❤️

His mum brought in one of her shoes for him to keep in his bed because Noodle loves lying on it for comfort 🥹

It’s little things like this that make such a big difference. We love being able to do whatever we can to help our patients feel safe, calm, and right at home while they’re with us.
