PART TIME (33hrs per week) EXPERIENCED VETERINARY NURSE REQUIRED.

Cheltenham, Victoria (next to Southland)

Our clinic is seeking an experienced Vet Nurse (33hrs/wk) to join our team of 3 vets and 4 support staff.

Applicant must have Cert 3 or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience. Must be competent at placement of IV catheters, blood taking, animal handling (especially feline friends), anaesthetic monitoring, surgery, reception duties and all main aspects of veterinary nursing.

We are looking for a hard working, reliable, experienced nurse with good communication skills, a friendly positive attitude and most of all treats their patients like they would want their own pet treated.

The clinic is fully equipped with x-ray, in house blood machine (Idexx lab station), very easy to learn computerised system (customer logic), etc.

This position has NO on call/ after hours, NO public holidays and NO Sundays.

WE ARE HIRING: nurse required for every Saturday ongoing. 8.30am - 3pm.

Ideally suited to a qualified vet nurse however experienced unqualified nurses or nursing/vet students will be considered.

Absolutely MUST be competent in all aspects of nursing - animal handling skills are essential as will be required to assist vets in consults, run bloods on in-house Idexx lab, carry out nurse appointments such as arthritis and cytopoint injections, nail clips etc. Bulk of work is reception based, taking calls, greeting clients, taking payments etc.

This is a long term position for every Saturday ongoing however more shifts may be available from time to time.
