Our team may have made some attempts to convince her to come home with them, but she politely declined and went home to her beloved family.💞

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone — 10 years of Dr. Georgia at CCV.

We are so grateful and appreciative to have had her with us over the past decade. She goes above and beyond for her patients and her team, always showing up with compassion, humour, and unwavering dedication.

Dr. Georgia is thorough, fiercely committed and possesses next level medical skills of the feline kind. Her care for cats (and their humans) is second to none, and her impact on our clinic is felt every single day.

Thank you, Dr. Georgia, for helping shape CCV into what it is today. The cats of Canberra are purring a little louder today in your honour.

This is Tuxedo!😸

Little Tuxedo ate a piece of rubber that, although reasonably small, managed to get stuck in his intestines, causing an obstruction.
When a blockage like this forms in the intestines, it prevents food from moving through and can cut off blood supply to the intestines.
This makes the patient very unwell and often results in inappetence, vomiting, lethargy, and in the worst case, sepsis.

Lucky for Tuxedo, his family took him to the after hours vet overnight and had him transferred into our care for an exploratory surgery to have the foreign object removed.
We're happy to say that after his procedure, Tuxedo has made a very speedy recovery and is back to his usual cheeky, sassy self!

If your cat is known for nibbling silly things and you're concerned they may have ingested something, don't hesitate to contact us or your closest veterinary clinic to have them assessed as soon as possible.

It is with mixed emotions that we inform our lovely community that Dr Alice will be moving on from Canberra Cat Vet to pursue a new chapter in her veterinary career. Though we are saddened to see her go, we know this new chapter ahead will be one filled with growth, learning and exciting opportunities. We adore Dr Alice, and wish her every success and positive outcome on her new path.

Dr Alice has been a treasured part of our team since she joined us 6 years ago, and she has built a dedicated following of amazing furry patients. She would like to express her thanks to all of her clients for trusting her with their beloved cats, and that she will deeply miss her CCV community. We know you will all join us in wishing Alice all the best as she continues to challenge herself and grow as a person and veterinarian.
