🚨🐔 EMERGENCY HOMES NEEDED FOR 40 CHICKENS! 🐔🚨

We urgently need help finding safe, suitable homes for 40 Oriental chicken breeds who need to be relocated.

🐓 10 Roosters
🐔 30 Hens

⚠️ IMPORTANT: These chickens must go to homes where there are currently NO other chickens present.

This is an urgent situation, and we need responsible homes that can provide adequate space, care, protection and a safe environment for these beautiful birds. ❤️

🐹💚 Sometimes, the signs are subtle… but they matter!

Exotic pets are experts at hiding discomfort and illness, which is why regular veterinary check-ups — and seeing an exotic animal veterinarian when something seems “just a little off” — are so important.

This little hamster came in because her owners noticed she wasn't quite herself. She had a watery eye and a slight head tilt, and although these symptoms may seem small, they can sometimes indicate an underlying problem.

Under sedation, our team was able to take a closer look and discovered the cause — a tiny piece of seed had become lodged in her ear! 🌱😳

Thankfully, we were able to safely remove the foreign body and treat her appropriately. 🥰

Her owners did exactly the right thing by trusting their instincts and bringing her in when they noticed a change. ❤️

🐾 Know your pet. Notice the little changes. Don't wait for them to become big ones.

Especially with exotic pets, early veterinary attention can make all the difference.💚

🐹🐭🦜 IMPORTANT MEDICATION REFILL INFORMATION 💊💗

A little reminder for all our exotic pet parents! 🥰

To help us prepare your pet’s medication safely and efficiently:

⏰ Medication refills must be requested at least 24 hours before collection.

👩‍⚕️ Chronic medication prescriptions:
All patients receiving chronic medication must have an in-person consultation with one of our veterinarians at least every 6 months in order for a repeat prescription to be issued.

This helps us make sure your little bunnies, rats, guinea pigs, birds and all our other exotic patients are receiving the right medication and the best possible care. 💚🐾
