Emergency Snake Catchers Are Not:
1. Pest Exterminators
They do not kill snakes. Their role is rescue and relocation, not elimination. Snakes are usually protected wildlife in many regions.
Their goal is safe removal, not destruction.
2. Snake Charmers or Performers
They are not entertainers or there to show off. Their work is serious, safety-focused, and often regulated by law.
3. DIY Hobbyists
Emergency snake catchers are trained professionals, not just people who “like snakes.” They understand snake behavior, first aid, and local wildlife laws.
4. Veterinary Services
They are not vets and usually don’t provide medical care to the snake (unless partnered with a wildlife rescue). If the snake is injured, they will transfer it to a licensed wildlife rehab center.
5. General Wildlife Control for All Animals
They usually specialize in snakes. For other animals, different experts are needed.
6. Police or Emergency Medical Services
While emergency snake catchers deal with urgent situations, they’re not first responders for medical emergencies like snakebites. That’s the role of ambulance or emergency care services.
They are:
Snake removal experts
Wildlife conservation allies
Licensed handlers
Public safety responders (in this specific context).
Stay safe, respect nature 🙏
