Justice is one of our special 14-year-old community oldies, and thanks to the incredible generosity of MSD South Africa and their sponsorship of Bravecto South Africa, his life has been transformed.

Just over three weeks ago, Justice was struggling with severe mange. Today, the difference is remarkable. His coat has almost completely grown back, and he is clearly feeling more comfortable, happier, and more confident.

Seeing this kind of transformation reminds us just how much of an impact access to preventative healthcare can have on an animal's quality of life.

A heartfelt thank you for changing the lives of Justice and so many other animals in our communities who are benefiting from this sponsorship. Your support is making a real and lasting difference. ❤️🐾

This little bundle of love was found wandering all alone. At just 7 weeks old, this tiny girl was lost in a big world.

After arriving at our hospital, she was tested for all the nasties (hence the cutest little bandage you've ever seen!) and received the care she needed. Now, she's off to Megs Mutts Rescue where her journey to a brighter future can begin.

We are always incredibly grateful to organisations like Megs Mutts Rescue that open their doors and hearts to animals in need, giving them the second chances they so deserve.❤️🐾

We are proud to be part of the Youth Day celebrations in Bokmakierie, engaging with the community and its young people. We are offering fun activities for the youth while sharing important information about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Events like these provide a valuable opportunity for us to connect with residents, identify areas where animals may need assistance, and better understand challenges within the community, including cases of abuse, the need for sterilisation, and access to basic veterinary care. By working together, we can create a safer and healthier environment for both people and their pets

A huge thank you to Craig at Davids Hiring for generously providing the jumping castle, which has kept the children entertained and smiling for hours. Your support has helped make the day even more special for the youth of Bokmakierie.

Through some of our sad days, there are days like today when the light shines brightly and fills our hearts with joy. That joy comes from being able to save even just one soul.

Sweet Buzz was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer afford to care for him. After testing him for all the nasties, he'll be ready to start his new journey with Oscars Arc WOOF Project once he has been vaccinated, sterilised and microchipped.

Please help us help animals like Buzz. Before they can go off to their happily ever after, they need to be tested, sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed—costs that are carried by the PDSA.

We received a report of a puppy roaming the streets of Bridgetown. Our team went out to look for him and found him curled up in a corner. He was very skittish and did not trust humans, although he still wagged his little tail while trying to dodge us. After numerous attempts, we finally managed to get him safely into our care.

We noticed he had diarrhea and immediately tested him for parvo and distemper. While the parvo test was negative, heartbreakingly the distemper test came back positive.
With heavy hearts, we had to gently put this little pup to sleep.

Not every rescue has a happy ending, and sadly this little one did not stand a chance. We continue to do everything we can to help animals in need and to sterilise as many animals as possible to prevent future suffering.

Every donation helps us continue this important work.

Today we remember and honour the life of Fernanda Alfos, who for more than 30 years was the smiling and welcoming face of our hospital reception.

Fernanda will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her warm smile, and her willingness to always be a team player. She touched the lives of so many staff members, clients and animals through her compassion and dedication over the years.

Rest in peace, our dear friend and colleague. 🕊️
