Today, we are incredibly proud to share something we've worked toward for years...
Every adoptable dog currently in our shelter is spayed or neutered!
This may sound simple, but for an overcrowded shelter caring for more than 60 dogs, this accomplishment represents countless hours of planning, fundraising, transporting, scheduling, and advocating for the dogs in our care. With our shelter consistently operating over capacity, reaching this goal was no small feat.
Why does this matter?
Spaying and neutering helps reduce pet overpopulation, decreases the number of unwanted litters entering shelters, and provides important health and behavioral benefits for the dogs themselves. It is one of the most effective ways we can work toward a future where fewer animals find themselves homeless.
Most importantly, this achievement would not have been possible without our amazing supporters. ❤️
To every donor who sponsored a spay or neuter, made a contribution, shared a fundraiser, or believed in our mission... thank you. Your generosity helped turn a long-standing dream into a reality. Because of you, these dogs are one step closer to finding their forever homes and helping break the cycle of pet overpopulation in our community.
While our work is far from over, today we're taking a moment to celebrate this incredible accomplishment and the people who made it happen.
