We’re officially 1 week old! We celebrated with our first nail trim, a photo shoot, and a trip to the bottomless milk bar 🤪

🩵 Spanky is still holding strong with almost a pound in everyone else. ❤️ Buckwheat and 💚Alfalfa are neck and neck. Our sweet 🩷 Darla finally hit the 1 pound mark!! They’re growing like weeds! Eyes should be opening in a few days!!

We’re 5 days old today! Everybody is doing great and doubled their weight since birth! Spanky is holding out strong at over 2 pounds! Which is crazy considering they were early! Buckwheat & Alfalfa are neck and neck at 1.10 lbs. our sweet Darla is just about to FINALLY hit a pound. Sweet girl only weighed 6oz at birth so that’s a huge jump in just 5 days. Momma is doing great! She got to play fetch for a few, while I changed whelping pads. Our hearts are so full 🫶🏻

Born at just 56 days gestation and premature, there were a lot of tears shed with this delivery. Unfortunately despite EVERY effort from me and the vets, not everyone made it. It breaks my heart to say that as I always strive to go above and beyond for every baby we bring into this world. Sometimes it’s just beyond my control. Dreya did her absolute best, and has gone above and beyond to help us keep these 4 going. Darla is VERY very small, but boy does she have some fight. She has no problem pushing her brothers out of the way at the milk bar. She will be on hold for now until we can get her caught up! Please keep sending all the thoughts and prayers over the next couple of weeks as we navigate these trying times, but I know they are SO worth it.

I’m a day late, but definitely didn’t forget. My “Stiff Drinks” turned a year old yesterday. The litter that tested my emotions more than I’d like to admit. You all turned out to be such gorgeous babies. We did keep a female out of this litter and do intend on breeding her if all goes well! Denver’s last litter was very bittersweet, but can’t wait to watch Nyx carry on her legacy 🩷
