🚨EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🚨

Meet Barb! She has been at Amber Leaf for 24 years as a veterinary technician/pharmacy technician.

Barb loves animals of any kind but has an attraction to pets with special needs. She has Stevie Wonder, a 12 year old dog that is blind and Roy who is almost 11 years old and has a congenital brain disorder called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This makes him walk very wobbly. He has been in her care since he was 5 weeks old! She also enjoys gardening and is very involved with her church.

Oh she also has 3 chickens!

When asked what she enjoys most about working here she said, "I love helpings animals and their people in living their best life together. Amber Leaf is a special family to me. We are ALL very dedicated to what we do in our profession - for animals and the people who love them"

This is often the hottest stretch of the year, and pets can overheat fast. Keep it simple:

- Fresh water and shade, always.
- Walk early morning or evening.
- Watch flat-faced breeds and seniors closely.
- Never leave pets in a parked car.

Signs of heatstroke include heavy panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting. Call us right away if you see them. This is an emergency!

Meet Katie! She is a veterinary technician that has been here at Amber Leaf for... wait for it... 28 years!

Katie has a cat, crested gecko, blue-tongued skink, and a fish tank full of swimming critters. Outside of work, she loves to read, play video games and photography! (Hence the really good photos.)

When asked about what she enjoys most about working here, she replied with, "taking x-rays!" Enough said there.

🚨EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🚨

Meet Chris, one of our kennel technicians! She has been at Amber Leaf for 28 years!! She is the one who takes care of your fur babies while you are enjoying your vacations - worry free!

Chris is an animal lover. She currently has 4 dogs (3 of which are pugs- Harley, Sampson, Hazel and then Lucky.) They have recently been enjoying loading up all the dogs and taking them camping in their new camper!

When asked what she enjoys most about working here she said, "I really like working with all the different cats & dogs and all their different personalities. I like to treat them as if they were my own, even the nervous/shy ones. It's incredibly fulfilling when they learn to trust me and give me a tail wag!"

Meet Jennifer, our surgical assistant! She has been with Amber Leaf for 29 years!

She has 1 dog (Fiona) and 2 cats (Maysie and Scottie). Jennifer loves spending time with family, camping and reading. She loves doing dog sports and going to dog shows for barn hunts & scent work! She also enjoys teaching dog obedience - Seeing pet owners connect better with their dogs and the bond that strengthens with obedience.

When asked what she enjoys most about working here she said, "Well 29 years of my life here says I love this job! But truly it's the second family I have formed here and connecting with the clients and their pets. And everyday is a surprise!"

Meet Dr. Jason Rudigier! He has been at Amber Leaf for a total of 32 years! 26 of those years have been spent as one of our trusted veterinarians.

Jason has 3 dogs, 4 cats, a guinea pig and a tortoise! He is a scoutmaster for Troop 36. He loves the outdoors. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, camping - you name it!

When asked what he enjoys most about working here he said "Definitely the staff. We have a great team that is all in when it comes to providing the best care we can for our four legged friends and their families."
