In October 2013, the U.S. military dedicated its first national monument to combat dogs. Located at Lackland Air Force, the nine-foot tall bronze statue features a handler and four noble dogs. It is inscribed with the words, “Guardians of America’s Freedom.” The statue features the four major breeds that have been used since World War II: German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Doberman Pinscher and Belgian Malinois.

Remember a few weeks ago when we said these things come in 3’s… 👀

"Hey there! I'm Wyatt and this is a a more of a “What DIDN’T I Eat?” Wednesday post. You all know my dad, Dr. Norberg. Turns out even doctors’ dogs can make not‑so‑great decisions. 😇

I decided our garbage can was full of yummy things. Over THREE POUNDS worth of “yummy things” (yes, he did a before‑and‑after weigh‑in) including leftover pasta and unfortunately bread dough. Bread dough is very dangerous because it can rise in my stomach. ☠

So Dad had to whisk me off to work a few hours before his shift, give me some medicine, and back up it all came. 🤢 I also had to spend the day here instead of at home in my bed. I’m feeling better now, but that was a bit ruff. 0/10, do not recommend eating the garbage. "

🐾 Happy Dog Mom’s Day 💕

Research shows women are far more likely to be their dog’s primary caregiver; handling the daily care, health, and emotional bonding that defines being a dog mom. Let’s see who you’re celebrating with today! ⬇️📸🐶

Science backs what most of us already know; that loving a dog isn’t just emotionally rewarding, it's good for your health, too! Our pups keep us moving, ease loneliness, and bring real, measurable benefits into our lives.

Studies show that interacting with dogs can help lower stress, reduce blood pressure, and increase oxytocin, the “love hormone” that strengthens the human‑animal bond.

So today, we’re celebrating not just the cuddles and playtime, but the science‑backed magic of being a dog mom! 🐾✨

Pet Poison Prevention Reminder 🌷

You may have seen recent news reports that shared the tragic loss of a dog after attending a tulip festival. While the exact cause has not been definitively confirmed, the pet owner has shared her story to raise awareness about an important risk; tulips are toxic to dogs and cats, especially the bulbs.

Most likely symptoms for a minor ingestion for dogs and cats would be excessive drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. Symptoms of a larger ingestion in dogs would include increased heart rate, difficulty breathing, and worsening lethargy or collapse.

📸 Quick spring photos are generally safe

🚑 Chewing or ingesting tulips, especially the bulbs, means you should contact your vet immediately!
