Employee spotlight: Courtney!🥳

Courtney is a Windsor local who has seen The Meadows in many seasons. She a Registered Veterinary Technician and our team's Care Coordinator, working closely with our clients and veterinary technicians alike to provide efficient, personalized care to each patient that walks through our doors. Courtney took a few moments away from orchestrating our hospital's busy schedule to tell me a little more about herself.

What is your favorite part about working at the Meadows?
My favorite part about working at the Meadows is getting to see our patients grow and change throughout their lives and see those tails wagging when they come through the door!🐶

Tell me about one of your many animal adventures!!
I got to do an alligator wrestling class at Colorado Gators and help them treat the injuries they get on their scales. I learned that crocodilians rarely get diseases and live long lives since they have few predators (humans are the main one)🐊

Any other exciting travel stories?
I really loved going to Alaska and seeing the different wildlife that lives there - sea lions, dolphins, whales, and I went to a place that has the highest density of bald eagles.🦅🐬🐋

Employee spotlight: Evie!
Evie grew up in Southern Colorado and is about to enter Colorado State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She is part of our Outpatient and Client Care Teams and we could not be more lucky to have her! She always has a smile on her face and loves to spoil us with her homemade treats! She took a few minutes between her busy school and work schedules to tell me more about herself.

What is your favorite part about working at the Meadows?
My favorite part of working at the Meadows is getting to know all of the faces and furry friends we see everyday! I love greeting our clients with a smile and their pets with their favorite treats 🙂

What's next up for your travel adventures?
I have a cross-country visit to France this summer! I love learning about the differences in animal agriculture in the countries I visit, so I'm hoping to spot some Valais Blacknose sheep or Brown Swiss cattle in the Alps of Annecy 🐑

You are so creative with your baked treats! What inspired you to start baking?
My baking is inspired by seasonal produce! I love experimenting with flavor combinations, whether that be rosemary pomegranate molasses cookies in the winter or a sour cherry pie with cardamom and almond for the summer 🥧

Employee Spotlight!!!

Madison has been with The Meadows for almost a year now and we could not be more thrilled to have her on the team! She came to us from Kentucky and is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She always starts her day with a smile and never hesitates to help out one of her coworkers. She has two sweet pups at home- Koda and Archie. She took a break from her busy day to tell me some more about herself.

What is your favorite part about working at the Meadows?
My favorite part is my amazing coworkers and getting to learn something new everyday with the cutest patients!

What is your favorite place you have ever visited?
I got to go to South Africa for two weeks in college, working with a wildlife relocation team. I got to see the Big Five (Lions, Elephants, Cape Buffalos, Rhinoceros & Leopards) and also bottle feed a baby giraffe!

We know you are an avid horseback rider! What is your favorite place to ride?
In Kentucky, I loved going on trail rides through the Appalachian mountains with my friends with the most amazing views!
