Jack and I(Blanche) met in 2013, wed in 2014 and soon after both had a love for the Gypsy Cob. After getting our first gypsy, Irish Mist in the fall of 2014, we knew this was the breed for us. We decided to breed a few gypsies a year with the emphasis of well rounded; but.... after my first trip to England to investigate more about the origin of the breed and breed standard, I knew we were on the

wrong track. So after that visit when I arrived home, Jack and I decided we needed to go a different direction. So we imported our first Gypsy Cob colt! Jack and I will breed a small number of the highest quality Gypsy Cob foal's a year. We do not typically sell in-utero, but will give first option to purchase a foal if we choose not to retain the foal. Jack and I are always happy to share our horses, so If you are in the area, please drop us a line, we would love to share our Gypsies with you if we are available. We have grown leaps and bounds over the years are are starting to venture into semi retirement and will be breeding less and growing out our stock, getting them started under saddle and have well trained Gypsy horses to offer. This photo of Mega Stuff gives me goosebumps!

Many know that breeding is not easy. It has been one of the most rewarding ventures I have ever undertaken, but it has also brought the most heartbreak and, without question, been the most expensive. I never set out intending to become a horse breeder—it simply found its way into my life.

Over the years, I’ve made great decisions for my breeding program, and I’ve made some not-so-great ones. That’s all part of learning, growing, and striving to do better.

SD Double Stuff was the stallion who truly elevated my offspring. He was kind, gentle, honorable, and incredibly generous with his genetics. I waited years to breed a replacement worthy of following in his footsteps.
SD Emma, was a mare I drooled over for years, and extremely grateful when my friend John Davey parted with her to join my program.
If it wasn’t for true breeders like SD Cobs, neither of these two incredible horses would have made this possible!

The day Mega Stuff was born, I knew he was the ONE.

Watching this young stallion grow and helping shape him into the horse he is becoming has been incredibly rewarding. He carries so much of what made his sire special while still being uniquely himself.

We didn’t have anything elaborate planned for Mega during Samantha’s photo shoot. The opportunity simply presented itself. We pulled him out of the pasture, ran a brush over him, and took him up the hill behind our house.

Then Samantha worked her magic.

I have been incredibly blessed to work with some truly amazing photographers over the years, and there are a few local photographers that I thoroughly enjoy working with. Each photographer brings their own style, creativity, and unique eye behind the lens.

For years, I have dreamed of having Samantha Dawn come to the ranch to meet our Gypsy Cobs and photograph them. I’ve met Samantha several times at shows, and we’ve talked about making it happen over the years, but our schedules never seemed to align.

Last fall, we talked again, and she held a spot for me in June—and held me to it despite my insane schedule of moving, breeding season, kittens, life, showing horses, and everything else that comes with it!

I’m the type of person who wants everything to be absolutely perfect before doing something big like this, so the thought of adding one more thing to my plate honestly made me want to curl up in a ball and cry. 😂

Samantha gave me a hard time about it, and I finally told myself to put on my big-girl pants and just do it.

I am so incredibly grateful that I did. The entire experience was low-stress, so much fun, and the photos are absolutely amazing! In fact, the only horse that received a proper bath was Stallone. 😆

Yesterday, SD Miss Madame, aka “Missy,” left for her new home in Colorado.

I imported Missy when she was just 6 months old, and she has been with us for the past seven years. Missy was much more than a broodmare to me—she was one of my favorite riding horses. Despite being built like a brick house, this mare could absolutely move! From beach rides to trail rides, she was always steady, sane, and willing.

As a preservation breeder, I don’t breed horses simply to produce babies to sell. I breed with the goal of carrying the next generation forward. Every breeding is planned years in advance, with the intention of keeping that foal as part of my program. Of course, life doesn’t always follow the plan.

Last year, Missy gave me an exceptional filly by SD Flash Harry who will carry on Missy’s legacy in our program. Because of that, I knew Missy’s next chapter could begin.

Missy was needed to enrich the life of her new owner, just as she has enriched mine. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, it brings me comfort knowing she is heading to a home where she will be loved and appreciated.

Thank you to Ride The Line Horse Transport for being wonderful to work with and for accommodating the delivery of this very special cargo.
