1993-2025
Yesterday we laid the best unicorn ever to rest – Andy. Andy came to Wild Turkey Farm in 2003 at the age of 10. Andy and Megan had a successful 2003-2004 season which culminated in Megan qualifying for the NAYC Championship on both Diamond’s Forever and Andy. That fall, Megan left for college and Kelli became Andy’s person. Kelli and Andy competed for several years until 2010 when the decision was made to let Andy retire. He moved up to Oregon with the rest of the crew and began his retirement. For the last 14+ years Andy, enjoyed trail rides with Kelli and his turnouts. Thank you to the Wild Turkey Farm crew, Kelli Johnston, Jaime Santana and Ramon Gomez for loving Andy and taking such excellent care of him. Thanks so much to Dr. Mike Salewski for keeping Andy happy with monthly acupuncture treatments and to Columbia Equine, especially Dr. Paul Duff and Dr. Dani Price, for always being there to help Andy. And to Dr. Paul, such a heartfelt thank you and much appreciation for your kindness and empathy when we said goodbye to Andy. Andy, enjoy your reunion with Marco, run free and kick up those heels.
