First, thank you. Truly. So many of you prayed for her, checked on us, sent messages, and waited with us through a very long and scary day. We are incredibly grateful.

Our dear friend Debby reached out to us and offered to set up a GoFundMe for Calypso. Asking for help isn’t easy for us, but Debby’s kindness in wanting to do this for our girl meant more than I can put into words. The fundraiser will help with Calypso’s emergency veterinary expenses and any follow-up care she may need during her recovery. ♥️🐾

Please don’t feel obligated to give. Your prayers, kind words, and sharing her story mean more to us than you know. For those who have asked how they can help, I’m sharing the fundraiser here. ♥️

Good morning from Chaos & Grace! 🎀💙🐾

The household is officially open for business.

Chaos has already reported for duty with a ball and apparently believes “working from home” means Mama is available for fetch at all times. 😂🎾

Grace woke up at a much more civilized hour, completed his morning inspection, and promptly reported to the refreshment department. 💙🐾

Wednesday priorities:

🎀 Calypso: BALL. BALL. BALL. BALL.
💙 Major: I was told there would be cookies.
☕️ Mama: Please allow the coffee to take effect.

We hope your Wednesday starts with something that makes you smile. There’s always room for a little joy around here. ♥️🐾

Sometimes the best moments are the ones nobody knows you captured. 🐾♥️

I took these without really thinking about it and hadn’t even gone back to look at them yet.

And then tonight I did.

There they were.

Chaos and Grace. 🎀🩵

No posing. No treats being held behind the camera. No calling their names trying to get them both to look at me. 😂

Just Calypso stretched out beside the couch and Major resting above her, quietly sharing their little corner of the world.

After the last few days, seeing our girl settling down and simply being close to her brother feels extra special. And Major, in his own quiet way, is just… there. ♥️

They may be Chaos & Grace to all of you, but to us they’re family.

And sometimes I think the sweetest parts of loving them happen in these completely ordinary little moments—the ones we almost miss.

Thankfully, this time I had my camera. 📸🐾♥️

SEPTEMBER HAS ARRIVED. 🍂🐾

Management would like everyone to know that Princess Calypso Jean woke up this morning feeling considerably more like herself.

Not quite Zoomie 5000.

We are currently operating somewhere around Zoomie 300. 😂🎀

She ate a little breakfast, completed an inspection of the grounds, located the ball and has now submitted several formal requests for Mama to stop working and begin recreational activities immediately.

All requests are currently pending. 😂

We’re still taking things slow and giving our girl plenty of time to rest and recover, but seeing some of that Calypso sparkle coming back this morning is a pretty wonderful way to start September. 🥹🐾💗

Thank you again to everyone who has checked on her, prayed for her, loved on her and followed along. It means more to our little family than you know.

Security is operating on limited staff today. 🎀🐾😂

Our girl is still taking it easy and definitely not feeling quite like her usual zoomie self yet, but apparently neighborhood surveillance waits for no one.

She’s been resting, soaking up a little sunshine and keeping a VERY close eye on the perimeter. 👀

And yes… there has already been one confirmed security breach. 🚨😂 🐿️

For now, though, we’re keeping today quiet and letting our Princess rest. 💖🐾

UPDATE ON OUR PRINCESS CALYPSO JEAN 💖🐾❤️‍🩹

First, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

I honestly cannot keep up with the comments, messages, prayers and love that have poured in for our girl today. I have read as much as I could throughout the day, even when I couldn’t respond. Please know that every prayer, every message and every person checking on Calypso has meant more to us than I can put into words. ♥️

We finally pulled away from the emergency vet at 9:32 tonight, after being there for most of the day, and OUR GIRL IS HOME. 🙏🏼💖🐾 (Chaos & Grace)

This afternoon was terrifying. Calypso suddenly became extremely lethargic, was drooling heavily, had severe diarrhea and reached the point where she couldn’t walk. I had to carry her to the car and we rushed her to the emergency vet.

Tonight, after examinations, testing and X-rays, we received some very welcome news:

There is NO bloat. 🙏🏼

Her X-rays otherwise looked great. They checked everything they felt needed to check tonight. Tests and exam came out great.

She weighed 54 pounds, and the vet said her weight is great. 💖

And one of the best things I can tell you tonight:

Calypso came home and ATE. 🥹💖🐾

We’re going to keep her food simple for the next couple of days, keep a very close eye on her, and give our girl lots of rest and love.

Today has been incredibly emotional and exhausting, but tonight I am thanking God that our Princess is home with us. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

I also want to be transparent because several people have asked how they can help. This emergency was completely unexpected, and Calypso’s veterinary care today cost us around $700, which took essentially everything we had available right now.

If anyone has been asking how they can help or feels led to be a blessing toward Calypso’s emergency veterinary expenses, we would be incredibly grateful. There is absolutely no obligation. Your prayers, love, messages and shares have already blessed us tremendously. ♥️

Please pray for our sweet Calypso. 🙏🏼🐾💖

We are currently at the emergency vet with her, and I am honestly so scared.

We weren’t home when something happened. Calypso suddenly became extremely lethargic, was drooling heavily, had diarrhea, and when we got to her she couldn’t even walk. I had to carry her to the car and we rushed her straight to the emergency vet.

This picture was taken on our way here. Thankfully, she is more alert now and is able to sit up, but we still don’t know what happened. The vet needs to run tests and figure out what is going on.

Right now I’m asking for prayers. Please pray that God puts His healing hand over our girl, gives the veterinary team wisdom and answers, and that whatever caused this is something she can recover from quickly. 🙏🏼

The unexpected cost of emergency care is also something we were not financially prepared for, but right now our priority is getting our girl the care she needs.

Apparently drinking my coffee BEFORE serving Major his breakfast is completely unacceptable. ☕️😂🐾

This poor gentleman was STARVING.

Hadn’t eaten in minutes.
Could practically see his ribs.
The injustice was simply too much, so he came directly to management to file a formal complaint. 😂

And yes… he argued his entire case.

Major Grace: 14 years old, deeply loved, extremely well fed, and still willing to contact management when service is not up to his standards. 🩵🐾😂

Breakfast was served shortly thereafter.

Crisis resolved. 😂
