With a very heavy heart, I have made the decision to permanently close Spunky Paws Spa, aside from continuing to care for a few of my long-time regular clients.
This business was never just a job to me. It was my passion, my livelihood, and something I built with my whole heart. Every single pet that came through my doors meant something to me. I didn’t just groom them — I loved them. They became part of my life, and their families became part of my journey.
Over the last 6–8 weeks, my life and my business have been turned completely upside down. I made a decision to help a dog that needed someone to stand up for them. I followed my heart, because I could never look the other way when an animal needed help. Unfortunately, that decision has cost me more than I could have ever imagined.
Because of everything that has happened, I have lost many clients and the support that once kept my small business going. As much as it breaks my heart to say this, I simply can’t continue anymore.
This has been devastating for me, because Spunky Paws was something I poured my entire heart and soul into. Watching something you love fall apart, especially when your intentions were only to help, is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
To the clients who supported me, trusted me with your pets, and believed in what I was building — thank you. Truly. I will always be grateful for the love, the pups, and the memories that came from this journey.
Even though this chapter is ending, my love for animals will never change.
