🌹 Age Is Relative

I stopped to admire a rose that has been cultivated since before 1700.

Think about that.

More than three hundred years later, it is still blooming.

Then I noticed a beautiful classic automobile traveling down the road. Decades old and still moving forward.

It made me think about something.

Some things don’t lose value with age.

And neither do we.

Compared to the age of the sun, what is 60? What is 80? What is even 100 years?

A brief moment.

Yet somewhere along the way, many of us are taught to believe that aging means slowing down, giving up dreams, becoming less relevant, or simply waiting for life to happen to us.

I don’t accept that.

I believe we are meant to keep learning.

Keep growing.

Keep serving.

Keep exploring.

Keep dreaming.

The goal isn’t simply to add years to life. The goal is to add life to years.

I don’t want to spend my days focused on getting older. I want to spend them focused on becoming more fully alive.

This season I am studying, teaching, creating, learning about animal welfare, pet nutrition, flower essences, emotional healing, and the connection between body, mind, spirit, nature, and the animals who share this journey with us.

There are still places to go.

There are still people to help.

There are still dreams waiting to be lived.

Like the ancient rose, may we continue to bloom.

Not because we are young.

But because we are alive.

🌹✨

💙 Skippy and the Wisdom of Lapis Lazuli 💙

This evening, Skippy wore a lapis lazuli necklace while we spent time together in the stillness of the barn.

For thousands of years, lapis lazuli has been treasured as a stone of wisdom, truth, intuition, and inner vision. Ancient cultures believed it helped strengthen the connection between the heart, mind, and spirit.

When I work with horses, I often think of stones not as something that “does” healing, but as reminders of qualities we wish to cultivate within ourselves:

✨ Calm presence
✨ Clear communication
✨ Trust
✨ Inner wisdom
✨ Connection to something greater than ourselves

Horses naturally live in the present moment. They remind us to slow down, listen deeply, and trust what we know in our hearts.

As we continue our Radiant Riders Medicine Wheel journey, Grandfather Rock reminds us that every stone carries a story. Some stones come from rivers, some from mountains, and some seem to find us exactly when we need them.

Tonight, Skippy carries lapis lazuli—a symbol of truth, wisdom, and the quiet knowing that comes when we pause long enough to listen.

Not every sacred stone looks extraordinary.

This one was carried through the Sassafras River by my mother so I could bring it home.

The Mother’s Love Stone 🩷🪨

This week in Radiant Riders, we’re gathering stones of intention for our Medicine Wheels.

The center stone of my wheel is what I call my Mother’s Love Stone.

Years ago, I spotted this beautiful pink stone in the waters of the Sassafras River. It immediately caught my attention. It felt special. Heavy. Ancient. Like it had a story to tell.

The challenge was getting it back to the boat.

My mother, without hesitation, swam with that stone and carried it back so I could keep it. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded not only of the stone itself, but of her love, strength, and willingness to help me bring home something that mattered to me.

Today, it serves as the center stone of my Medicine Wheel—the place of balance, connection, and remembrance.

As you begin gathering stones for your own wheel, remember that the most meaningful stones are not always the prettiest or most expensive. Sometimes they are the stones that carry a memory, a prayer, a friendship, a healing journey, or the love of someone who walked beside you.

Perhaps you already have your center stone.

Perhaps you’ll find it on a nature walk.

If a stone seems to “call” to you, pause and listen. Notice where you found it and what was happening in your life at that moment. The story often becomes part of the medicine.

When gathering stones, I like to carry a small pouch with birdseed, corn, or a penny to leave as a gesture of gratitude. A simple thank-you to the land reminds us that we are receiving a gift rather than taking something for ourselves.

This week, as you walk in nature, keep your eyes open.

Your stone may already be waiting for you. 🌿

Sometimes life brings us through seasons that change us deeply.

Moments where the nervous system becomes overwhelmed… where the shoulders feel heavy from carrying years of emotional tension, survival patterns, and unspoken stories.

And yet healing has a way of calling us back to ourselves.

Through prayer, nature, horses, therapeutic touch, myofascial release, flower essences, and stillness, I’ve been reflecting on the younger versions of ourselves — the teenage self, the searching self, the self that simply needed compassion and guidance.

🌿 June Outdoor Sessions
Weather permitting, Nature Healing with Horses will be offering gentle focus-area sessions centered around:
✨ shoulder release
✨ nervous system calming
✨ inner child reflection
✨ reconnecting with peace, innocence, and renewal

Featured essence:
🌸 Magnolia — Purity • Innocence • Renewal

Sometimes the greatest healing begins when we stop judging who we once were… and begin loving them instead.

And somehow, through grace, the difficult seasons become the very thread that leads us home to ourselves.

Suggested Companion Texts • Module 1

For this season of our summer learning experience, I am encouraging students to work with physical books whenever possible.

Take notes in them. Highlight passages. Journal. Place flowers, feathers, thoughts, and reflections between the pages. Let the books become part of your process.

These are not assigned textbooks in the traditional sense, but rather guides for contemplation, ethical healing awareness, nature observation, flower essence study, and energy field work.

Suggested readings include:

• “The Therapeutic Touch” by Dolores Krieger, Ph.D., R.N.
• “The Shaman and the Medicine Wheel” by Evelyn Eaton
• “Flower Essences” by Machaelle Small Wright

This summer’s module work is focused on:
ethical and ethereal healing practices, nature walks, medicine wheel creation, prayer, observation, flower essences, journaling, and conscious intention.

We will not be focusing on hands-on physical techniques during this module. Instead, we are exploring stillness, awareness, spiritual reflection, and ethical absent healing practices rooted in permission, compassion, and respect.

Students are encouraged to search for these books through libraries, used bookstores, local shops, or online sources.

Horses have always carried humanity through times of peace, hardship, healing, and service. 🇺🇸🐴

This Memorial Day, we honor those who served our country and remember the courage, sacrifice, and devotion of both soldiers and the animals who stood beside them.

May this weekend bring peace, reflection, healing, and gratitude for the freedoms we share.

Magnolia Radiance 🌸

Flower essences are different from essential oils or perfumes.

They are traditionally prepared by infusing flowers in water with intention and sunlight, capturing the energetic and vibrational qualities of the flower rather than extracting fragrance or plant oils.

The Magnolia Radiance spray was created as a gentle environmental and body mist inspired by the symbolic qualities of magnolia:
grace,
comfort,
motherly love,
softness,
and returning to peace within yourself.

The scent comes primarily from the witch hazel base — the flower essence itself is subtle, delicate, and experiential.

For over 35 years as a licensed massage therapist and esthetician, I’ve explored the connection between healing touch, environment, emotional wellness, horses, nature, and flower essence traditions.

The Holy Trio collection was created to keep flower essence work simple and approachable:
🌸 Magnolia — grace & nurturing
🌼 Forsythia — light & renewal
🔥 Tiger Lily — vitality & confidence

Interested in learning how to create intentional sprays and work with flower essences in your home, healing space, or with animals?

The RIDER Method™ experience is expanding soon. ✨

The Radiant Riders Memorial Day Course is a space for those called to explore deeper dimensions of healing, consciousness, nature, and spiritual connection.

Together we’ll explore energy healing, flower essences, environmental balancing, therapeutic touch, myofascial techniques, and spiritual awareness practices developed through my 35 years of experience working with both humans and animals.

This course also explores the connection between nature, consciousness, metaphysical study, and spiritual growth — including influences from Perelandra environmental balancing work and the understanding that healing begins beyond the physical level alone.

This is an advanced exploration intended for open-minded practitioners, seekers, caregivers, and those interested in holistic and spiritual approaches to balance and wellbeing.
