Happy siblings day to my sister, Morgan Agnew VMD DACT! My sisters (both of them!!) really are my heros.

It is not many families that get to celebrate each other's accomplishments and then become a part of them. It's been an honor to watch Dr Morgan develop her expertise, compassion, and excellence in veterinary medicine. When she asked me to join her Philadelphia practice to help it grow, it was an immediate yes. When she asked me to help her build a veterinary hospital in Delaware, it sent us on the most rewarding adventure of a lifetime. I am the luckiest sister that every day I get to see first hand her work, and I am in awe.

We built our practice to ensure that every patient and family we help, and every member of our team, is treated with the love, honesty, empathy, and kindness that lives in the culture of the Agnew family. Just like in the Agnew family, our whole team is here for you through the good times and bad to offer care, assistance, and love.

I could not be prouder of my sister, or prouder to be a part of this practice.

Canine semen freezing involves mixing collected semen with a cryoprotectant extender, placing it in straws, and freezing it to maintain viability. We are always excited when stud dogs freeze well, but in special cases involving a stud dog who has passed away that day, sometimes semen can be extracted.

We are overjoyed that yesterday's epididymal semen harvest procedure on a stud who had recently passed resulted in a usable breeding dose to preserve the line.

We understand the immediacy and time sensitive nature of an epididymal semen harvest and freeze, and are happy to help however we can. Reach out to inquire about semen freezing on your stud, or the sensitive and immediate need of collecting and freezing semen on stud dogs that have passed.

Please contact us as soon as possible to the passing of the stud dog so we can best assess the possibility of an epididymal semen harvest.
