✨ Patient Spotlight: Meet Canela! 🐾 This adorable 3-month-old puppy came to our Wilmington location after her owner observed that she wasn’t using her right hind leg. Our dedicated team sprang into action, and after taking X-rays, Dr. Athey discovered a fracture in her tibia. A cast was applied, and Canela is now on her way to recovery! We can’t wait to see her back to her playful self once her leg is healed! 🌈💪

❤️‍🩹Sam came to us through our Community Veterinary Clinic after a heartbreaking accident. His owners had originally found him as a stray and welcomed him into their home. Unfortunately, his leg had gotten caught in a recliner, causing severe damage.
Unable to afford the continued medical care he needed after an emergency visit, his owners brought him to Faithful Friends in search of help.
We immediately sent Sam to our partner First State Urgent Vet for X-rays, and after careful evaluation, the difficult decision was made to amputate his leg to give him the best chance at a pain-free life.
