Darbster Rescue Palm Beach

Darbster Rescue Palm Beach The mission of the Darbster Foundation is to reduce the number of adoptable cats and dogs being euthanized in the Southern United States.

We do through partnering with animals shelters in the south, providing our own transport to our two adoption centers in New Hampshire and by partnering with other animal welfare organizations in the Northeast that will accept animals. Since 2015, the Darbster Foundation has partnered with local animal rescue groups and shelters in South Florida to find homes for nearly 7,000 cats, kittens and d

ogs in South Florida. Transporting Kitties to New England – Over the past 5 years, Darbster Kitty has transported over 6,000 homeless kittens and cats to great, forever homes in New England where the pet population is managed effectively and demand is strong. The kittens and cats are rescued, fostered and then transported from South Florida where homelessness and euthanasia rates are very high. We are currently transporting between 35-40 cats and kittens weekly to Darbster Kitty in Manchester, NH and our no-kill partner shelters in New England. All Darbster Kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and socialized for adoption. In 2020 we additionally began a Barn Cat Program to transport and adopt out select cats who, while not suitable as pets, can be rescued from a harsh life on the streets to thrive on a farm, in a horse stable or other protected indoor structures. Transporting Doggies to New England – Since 2017, Darbster Foundation has partnered with local South Florida shelters and our valued rescue partners up north to save and transport 285 dogs. “Square Heads” (Bully Breeds) make up more than half of the dogs that are transported. Since the opening of our own adoption facility in Chichester, NH, Darbster Doggy in 2018 and the purchase of a 30-dog capacity trailer in 2019, we have pulled out of shelters and transported 455 dogs. Cats-Kittens Spays and Neuters – Did you know that a single pair of cats and their kittens can produce thousands and thousands of offspring in just seven years? It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 free roaming cats in Palm Beach County alone. To help control the cat and kitten population in our Florida location, Darbster Foundation has funded more than 3,000 spay and neuter surgeries since 2009.

🐾 Miami Husky Family Needs Your Help 🐾

A kind woman in Miami found a husky wandering around last August and brought her home—only to later discover she was pregnant.

Now, she’s caring for mom and 7 beautiful husky puppies living in her backyard, and she reached out for help. Our Darbster FL team went out to meet them, and we are currently working on getting them all vetted and spayed/neutered.

With 8 dogs total, we unfortunately can’t transport them all at once—but the good news is that 2 of the puppies will be heading to New Hampshire next week to start their journey to forever homes! 🐶💛

This is just the beginning, and we need your help to continue saving this family.

🐾 Sweet Sunbear is still waiting… 💔

This sweet girl has been waiting over a month, and she deserves her chance. Sunbear is a ~3-year-old spayed female (Pit/Catahoula mix), about 55 lbs, and truly as gentle as they come.

While she goes through her heartworm treatment (fully covered by Darbster 💛), she’s still waiting for something just as important—a safe, loving home to rest and heal in.

✨ About Sunbear:
• Super sweet, loving personality ❤️
• Walks nicely on a leash
• Quiet and calm in her kennel
• Tested well with both male & female dogs 🐶
• Appears to have recently had a litter

She deserves the comfort of a cozy bed, a calm space, and someone to remind her she’s not alone. 🐶✨

💌 Can you give Sunbear the home she’s been waiting for?

If interested please email [email protected] or DMU us. Thank you!

🐾 Saving the Six – Update 🐾

We wanted to share an update on Mom and her Miami puppies 💛

Two of the girls, Hannah and Holly, made their way to New Hampshire last weekend and are now available for adoption at Darbster Doggy! 🐶✨

Back in Florida, their brother Harry (along with the other two girls and mom, now named Hope 💕) had a vet visit this week to check on his eyes. We received some answers—Harry has a congenital condition called dysgenesis.

He is blind in his left eye, and while his right eye is affected, he can still see light and some objects, so he is not completely blind. He went home with medication to help stimulate tear production, which he may eventually be able to wean off of.

While it’s not something that can be corrected, we’re relieved to know it’s manageable and he’s otherwise doing well 💙

This little family has come such a long way—from surviving in the streets of Miami to getting the care they need and starting their journeys to forever homes.

🙏 For everyone who has been following “Saving the Six,” thank you for your support—it truly means everything.

Please continue to like, share, and follow their journey 🐾

Meet Daisy 💔
Daisy is a sweet 6-year-old girl who was heartbreakingly left tied to a tree when her owners moved away — but she’s still gentle, loving, and full of hope.

She has a fun, puppy-like energy, loves car rides, and is housebroken. Daisy doesn’t seem to mind cats and would thrive in a calm, loving foster home where she can finally feel safe and cared for.

Daisy is currently going through heartworm treatment and will need a foster for the next couple of months until she’s ready for transport.

Please consider opening your home to Daisy and giving her the second chance she so deeply deserves. 🐾❤️
