🐾 Puppy Potty Training: Set Your Puppy Up for Success!
Potty training doesn't have to be frustrating! ❤️
One of the biggest keys to success is being proactive rather than waiting for your puppy to tell you they need to go.
Take your puppy out regularly, especially after:
🐶 Waking up
🍽️ Eating or drinking
😴 Napping
🎾 Playing
🐾 Exciting activity
And when they get it right? Praise and reward immediately! Your timing matters.
Remember, accidents are part of the learning process. Your puppy isn't being stubborn or "bad"—they're learning what you expect from them.

Before the errands, chores, or football games begin, take just 10 minutes with your dog today.
Go for a quiet walk.
Practice a few simple cues.
Sit together with a cup of coffee while they enjoy the morning breeze.
Dogs don’t measure love by how much money we spend or how many toys they have. They remember how we make them feel and the time we spend with them.
A few minutes of calm connection today can strengthen your relationship far more than a long training session once a week.

Is your puppy biting, zooming, barking, or completely ignoring commands out of nowhere? 🐕💥.
Before assuming your pup is trying to test your patience, check their stimulation levels! Puppies don’t have a built-in off-switch, and when they get overtired or overstimulated, their brains go into overdrive. What looks like “naughtiness” or defiance is often just a tired baby who needs help winding down.
Quick Signs of Overstimulation:
Sudden frenzy or crazy zoomies
Hard mouthing/nipping that gets worse when you say “no”
Inability to focus or take high-value treats
“Glazed over” eyes or excessive arousal
What to do instead of punishing:
Lower the arousal: Move them away from the noise or trigger.
Enforce rest: Place them in a quiet, dark crate or pen with a long-lasting chew or snuffle mat. Puppies need 18–20 hours of sleep a day!
Switch to calm enrichment: Trade high-energy play for slow licking or sniffing activities.
Help your pup succeed by recognizing when they’re simply over capacity! ❤️
