🎉Can we call this Monday Funday too?!🎉
Our adoptable resident shelter dog "Gunnie" was sponsored by Beacon of Light Animal Rescue, Inc. and neutered at Torrington Animal Hospital today!!! YAY! His next adventure will involve some training sessions for both he and our staff in hopes to give him that extra sparkle he needs to catch the eye of a perfect adopter. Don't worry bud, your person is out there somewhere!!!

One important way to be ready is to ask your veterinarian (that's me!) any logistical questions you have been struggling with. Some common questions include:

🐾 Losing a furry family member affects everyone, including your pets. Here are some ways to support your pet through grief:

• Keep a routine: Walk at the same time every day to provide comfort, but try changing up the route to keep things interesting—for both of you!

• Increase mental stimulation: Use food puzzles, training sessions, or new games to engage their mind and reduce stress.

• Show extra love: Give lots of pets and quality time to reassure them they’re not alone.
