As temperatures rise and we move closer to summer, the season for heat stroke approaches too. Knowing the signs and temperatures to look out for can mean the difference between a daily walk and an emergency situation.
We urge you to check the pavement before walks, keep exercise short and early, and always provide access to cool, shaded spaces with water.
If your pet shows signs of heat stress—panting, disorientation, vomiting, or collapse—move them to a cool area, apply lukewarm water, and call us immediately. Be safe out there this summer! ☀️🐾
