**You can stop in anytime to meet Marsay & Lyonne to see if they are the ones for you! They are located in the kitty condo in the lobby at Avenue Veterinary Clinic in Waverly. We are working together with this wonderful vet to help save more lives. If they are the ones for you, please do apply. Once approved to adopt, a WPR volunteer will set up with you to meet so you can adopt and take them home! Avenue Veterinary Clinic , 1504 4th St SW, Waverly, IA 50677. Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday – Sunday: Closed. Closed Wednesdays from 12 PM to 1 PM**

Thank you for visiting our table on Saturday at Avenue Veterinary Clinic's open house!

WPR volunteer, Marta, was at the event to greet and talk to everyone about Waverly Pet Rescue. Had flyers about some of our adoptable cats and dogs. Marta also gave out greenies and cat toys. it was a great day!

Came From: Kit was a stray cat in Cedar Falls, IA.
Date We Took in: October 2023.
Adult" 3 years as of May 2026.
Female: Dilute Calico.
House-trained: Yes.
Good in a home with: Other cats.
Unknown: Children. Dogs.
Declawed: No.
Family: Mother named Boo.
Personality: She is on the skittish side, but is coming around.
Ok as an Only Cat: Yes.
Required: An indoor forever home.
Kit is up to date on shots, spayed, FeLV / FIV negative. $95 adoption fee.

Exciting news! Burt has been adopted! Hooray! He will have a loving home with his forever mom and dad along with two cat friends. We are very happy his forever home decided to adopt him! They met him while taking their cats to their vet, and saw Burt in the lobby in our kitty condo. A big thank you to Avenue Veterinary Clinic for helping us find the best home for Burt!

"He’s a love bug! He’s been playing and cuddling. He’s really come out of his shell and settling in really quick! We are learning each other’s quirks, that’ll take time. We did have to take a trip the basement for the weather and he was a trooper. We’re taking it very slow and moving at his speed but so far so good at getting acclimated I’ll send some more pics as I get them. I don’t have many now since we’re just hanging out."

- Our dogs, two black and white Siberian huskies, one male one female ran off last night. They were last seen just north of highway 3 on the corner of Viking Ave. (a little over a mile north of the Wapsi Valley high school) in Bremer county heading west through a field. If found please call me or my wife Megan. 319-300-9439 319-429-8286. They are both microchipped. But do not have their collars on due to we literally just gave them a bath!

One of the picture’s is an old picture but the big one is the male and the puppy is the female, but is much bigger now!

***Update*** our male dog made it home, filthy, limping and smelling like a skunk, but otherwise safe. Our female dog, Nyx, is still not home. Please keep an eye out for her. She is very friendly and would never hurt anyone.
