We have a new face in the clinic! We are so very excited to announce the addition of Dr. Shaine Hoffman to Waverly Veterinary Clinic. Please help us welcome her to Waverly!

Dr. Shaine Hoffman is a native of Rockton, Illinois, and a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Before joining Waverly Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Hoffman worked at a mixed animal practice in Charles City, IA and a small animal practice in Waterloo. She loves all parts of general practice, but is especially interested in internal medicine and dermatology cases, enjoying the puzzle solving aspect involved in treating these more complex issues. Dr. Hoffman knows that pets are family and will work together with pet owners to ensure that their pets are healthy and happy from their first puppy or kitten visit until they cross the rainbow bridge.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hoffman enjoys spending her time with her husband, Shaun, on their acreage, working in their large garden and crossing things off their never-ending project list. Their growing crew of animals (3 dogs, 4 cats, a 70 head cow/calf herd, a large flock of laying hens, and 4 feeder pigs) and their market garden side business keeps them busy outside of work as well. Dr. Hoffman also enjoys reading and crafting when she has a few minutes to spare!

Good morning! We are looking for a part time Kennel Attendant to join our team. We have our amazing Abbi leaving us since she is going off to college. Yay Abbi!!👏🏻👏🏻
If you are looking for a few hours in an evening cleaning and helping care for animals, please come by for an application or drop off a resume if interested.
*Must be 16 to apply
*Responsibilities include/not limited to
-sweeping, mopping and disinfecting the whole hospital.
-walking hospitalized dogs and cleaning after hospitalized cats.
-assisting in animal care with team members if requested
-organizational projects and deep cleaning that can sometimes be physical.
-Must be dependable and work independently

‼️‼️THE FOURTH IS COMING SOON‼️‼️

We will be closed on July 4th and resume normal business hours on Monday, July 7th! From July 7th to the 11th we will NOT have a doctor available. Emergencies will be referred to other clinics, including Blue Pearl in Cedar Rapids or Des Moines and Iowa State Veterinary Hospital.

Please call for any medication refills or vaccines needed prior to the 4th!
