❤️ DOLLY IS JUST THE SWEETEST! ❤️

This girl is doing SO well in her foster home! She’s great with everyone, good with dogs and cats, and absolutely loves snuggling next to her foster brother. 🥹🐾

She’s happy, affectionate, and settling into her new life beautifully. After everything she’s been through, seeing Dolly this comfortable and content is exactly what we hoped for. ❤️

And seriously… she’s the cutest little potato. 🥔😂

Now she just needs her forever family!

Dolly is 6 years old, about 55 pounds, and ready to be your best friend and professional snuggle buddy. 🏡❤️

Apply to adopt Dolly at www.rthrs.com.

🐾 NASHVILLE NEEDS A NEW FOSTER — PLEASE HELP US KEEP HIM SAFE! ❤️

We hate having to make this post because Nashville has been doing so beautifully. His current foster was always meant to be a temporary placement, but we didn't anticipate needing to find his next foster home this quickly.

Now we need to find Nashville a new place to land — and we really want to keep the transition as smooth as possible for this sweet boy. ❤️

Nashville is 4 years old, 13 pounds, very affectionate, and good with both dogs and cats. After everything this little guy has been through, he deserves a safe, stable home where he can continue to decompress and learn what it feels like to be loved.

He has been episode-free since last week, and we are still waiting on his neurologist consultation for more answers.

We feel Nashville would do best in a calm, structured home without young children.

📍 Currently in Central NY
🏡 Foster needed in NY, NJ, CT or PA

Can you open your home to Nashville to? It can make all the difference while we work toward finding his forever family. 🙏❤️

Please apply to foster at www.rthrs.com or message us if you can help.

Please share. Nashville has already been through enough. Let's make sure his next stop is a safe one. 🐾❤️

WE SAVED BUCK FROM THE SHELTER. NOW LET’S FIND HIM THE HOME HE DESERVES. ❤️🐾

When we first introduced Buck, he was leaving an overcrowded Alabama shelter behind and heading into foster care. We knew we had saved a sweet senior boy — but now that he’s had time to settle in, we’re learning just how special he really is.

Buck is an absolute sweetheart. ❤️

He is 8 years old, 63 pounds, incredibly loving and about as chill as they come. He’s doing wonderfully in foster, loves being around his people and has done well with every dog he has met.

This is the kind of dog who just wants to be part of your life. A comfortable bed, someone to love him, maybe a canine friend to hang out with, and a home where he can finally know he belongs.

Buck is heartworm positive and currently being treated using the slow-kill protocol. Road to Home will continue to cover the cost of his heartworm treatment until he tests negative, so please don't let that stop you from considering him.

Buck made it out of the shelter. He has a wonderful foster giving him the love and safety he needed.

But foster was only supposed to be the bridge. Now Buck needs his forever. 🏡❤️

Please SHARE him. Senior dogs are overlooked far too often, and Buck deserves someone who will see everything he still has to give.

Look at this handsome little guy! 🥰 Nashville is 4 years old, 13 pounds, and doing so well in his foster home.

After coming to us from heartbreaking neglect, Nashville is finally getting the love and care he deserves. He is very affectionate, good with both dogs and cats, and would make a wonderful companion and loving addition to the right family. ❤️

Even better, he has been episode-free since last week! 🎉 We’re still waiting on his neurologist consultation and hope to have some answers soon.

THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD A HOME AGAIN. NOW, AT 12 AND 10 YEARS OLD, MILLIE & LULU ARE LOSING EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN. 💔

There is something especially heartbreaking about watching senior dogs lose the only life they have ever known.

Millie and Lulu were once loved, cared for, and part of a family. When their owners could no longer afford to care for them, they were relinquished to a shelter.

Thankfully, a family stepped forward to foster with the intention of adopting them, and we truly thought their story had found its happy ending.

But with a toddler in the home, the family realized they simply did not have the time Millie and Lulu deserved.

And now these two senior sweethearts are searching for home once again.

🐾 MILLIE — 12-year-old Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix, 27 lbs
🐾 LULU — 10-year-old Boxer mix, 46 lbs

These girls are bonded and need to stay together. Through all the changes in their lives, they have always had each other.

❤️ Good with other dogs
❤️ Wonderful with people
❤️ Great with children
❤️ Both healthy
❤️ Sweet, loving girls with plenty of life left to live

They aren’t asking for much.

A soft bed. A safe home. Someone to love them. And most importantly, someone who will make sure the next home they walk into is the LAST home they ever have to find.

We know finding a home for two bonded seniors is a big ask. But somewhere out there is someone who will look past their ages and see what we see: two beautiful souls who deserve to spend their golden years safe, wanted and loved.

Please don’t let their ages make you scroll past them.

Millie and Lulu should be curled up together on someone’s couch, not wondering where they will go next.

If you cannot adopt them, PLEASE SHARE. Their person may be one share away.

Come home, girls. You’re safe now. ❤️

❤️ HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! ❤️🐾

Today is about celebrating dogs — the ones who fill our homes with love, make us laugh, keep us company, and somehow manage to steal our hearts completely.

But here at Road to Home Rescue Support, we know another side of dogs.

The dogs who were abandoned.
The dogs who were neglected.
The seniors who were forgotten.
The medical dogs who needed someone to say, “We’ll take them.”
The dogs who spent far too long wondering if anyone was coming for them.

And then… someone did. ❤️

Today, we celebrate EVERY dog who has made their way through our rescue — the ones who found forever homes, the ones still waiting, and the precious Forever Foster dogs who will be loved and cared for for the rest of their lives.

Every rescue starts with one simple decision:

Someone has to say YES.

So on International Dog Day, help us celebrate by doing something that can change a dog's life:

🐾 Adopt, don’t shop.
🐾 Foster if you can.
🐾 Share a dog who is waiting.
🐾 Donate if you’re able.
🐾 Tell someone about a dog who needs a home.
🐾 And never underestimate the power of one share.

Because somewhere tonight, there is a dog waiting for their person.

Let’s make sure they don’t have to wait forever. ❤️🐾

❤️ DAISY MAE IS STILL WAITING FOR HER FOREVER HOME. ❤️

Daisy has made herself right at home with her new foster, and we couldn't be happier to see her comfortable and happy again. But now we need to find the person who is going to make this girl theirs forever.

Daisy is 7 years old, about 55 pounds, housebroken, non-destructive and absolutely wonderful with people. She loves being with her person, following you around the house, snuggling beside you, going for car rides and, of course, getting a pup cup whenever possible. 🥰

She really is a pretty easy girl. The one thing Daisy needs is to be the only pet.

After everything she has been through, Daisy deserves a family who will love her for the rest of her life. She has waited long enough.

📍 Currently in NJ
🏡 Adoption or foster-to-adopt: NY, NJ, CT or PA

If Daisy Mae sounds like the girl you've been looking for, please fill out an application at www.rthrs.com.

And please keep sharing her. Her foster homes have given her safety and love when she needed it most. Now let's find the family who will give her the forever home she deserves. ❤️🐾

❤️ DOLLY IS SETTLING IN BEAUTIFULLY. ❤️

Remember sweet Dolly? After a pretty crappy life, she finally walked out of the shelter and into a foster home—and she is showing us just how much she was ready for this.

Dolly Parton once said, “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” 🌈

And sweet Dolly has certainly had her share of rain.

But now? She’s getting her rainbow. ❤️

Dolly is doing AMAZING. 🥹 She absolutely loves her foster family, is doing great with the resident dogs, and is perfectly fine with the kitty, too. She is settling into home life beautifully.

It’s hard to believe this sweet girl has been through so much when you see how happily she is embracing this new life.

No more shelter. No more uncertainty. Just a soft bed, a loving foster family, dog friends, a kitty, and the chance to finally learn what being loved feels like.

And now there’s just one more piece of Dolly’s story left to write…

Her forever home. 🏡❤️

Dolly is 6 years old, about 55 pounds, and great with dogs, cats and people of all ages.

Her past may have been heartbreaking, but her future can be everything she deserves.

Could you be Dolly’s forever family?

Please complete an adoption application at www.rthrs.com.

Let’s turn Dolly’s rainbow into a forever home. 🌈❤️🐾

GUNTHER IS SAFE… BUT HE’S VERY CONFUSED. ❤️

Gunther arrived at his foster mom’s house today! His amazing foster mom, Susan, picked him up from his flight this afternoon and brought him safely home. 🐾

But Gunther doesn't understand yet.

He is pacing and seems to be looking for his people. He doesn't know why everything familiar disappeared or why he is suddenly in a new place.

💔 His world has changed so much in such a short time.

But he is SAFE.

Susan is going to give him all the patience, love and reassurance he needs to decompress and realize that he is finally somewhere safe. And we will never allow this to happen to Gunther again.

Tonight, he has a soft place to sleep.
Tonight, someone is watching over him.
Tonight, he is not alone. ❤️

A shoutout to Tricia, the incredible pilots who flew Gunther to safety, and his overnight host who cared for him along the way. It truly takes a village. 🙏

Please keep Gunther in your thoughts as he settles in.

We’re going to give him the time and love he needs to understand that this chapter can be a good one. And we’ll do everything we can to make sure his next home is his forever home. ❤️🐾

LILY IS STILL WAITING. AND WE NEED YOUR HELP. ❤️

It’s been about two weeks since our last Lily update, and this sweet girl is still sitting in boarding. 💔

The amazing part? Lily continues to make friends everywhere she goes. The staff at Hounds Town has been absolutely amazing with her. They all watch out for her, care about her, and have gotten to know her so well. And her BFF Michelle visits Lily regularly and took her to the vet for us yesterday when she hurt her paw. We are so grateful to have so many people looking out for this special girl. ❤️

The vet started Lily on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory and believes she may have stepped on something. If it doesn’t improve, she’ll need to return Tuesday to be sedated so they can take a closer look inside her paw pads and make sure nothing is hiding in there. 🐾

Lily is a special girl who needs someone willing to give her time, patience, and the chance to build trust at her own pace. We know her person is out there. We just need to find them.

And while we wait for Lily’s forever family, the boarding bills keep coming.

💔 Lily’s boarding is $400 EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
💔 Plus her veterinary care and medications.
💔 And she has been waiting far too long.

We desperately need your help to keep her safe and cared for while we search for the person who will finally give her the home she deserves.

If you can donate toward Lily’s boarding and vet care, even $5 or $10 makes a difference. ❤️ Every donation helps us continue saying YES to dogs like Lily.

And most importantly…

🏡 WE NEED LILY ADOPTED.

She doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone to believe in her. Someone who understands that the best relationships sometimes take time to build.

Please share Lily. Tag your friends. Help us get her in front of the person who is meant to find her. 🙏❤️

📍 Lily is in Metuchen, NJ
🏡 Adopters needed in NY, NJ, PA & CT

DONATIONS: Every dollar helps keep Lily safe, boarded and receiving the care she needs. ❤️
