Dr. Sellers made a new friend on Friday! 🐆 This is Renegade the mountain lion cub in for an exam 🤎🖤

🌟 They hold the Guiness record for the animal with the highest number of names. There are more than 40 names, including cougar, puma, mountain lion and mountain cat!
🌟 Cougar cubs are born with spots to help them hide from predators. They typically lose their spots after 10 months.
🌟 Their powerful hind legs enable them to jump as far as 45 feet in distance and can jump as high as 15 feet! They can also sprint up to 50 miles per hour 🏃🏼‍♀️💨

THAT is a Cuterebra, or botfly larvae, that has burrowed itself into a little bunny! 🪰 This bunny was found outside and the new owners noticed a bump. Once the area was shaved Dr. Danner knew exactly what was going on! 🪰 It is very important that you get your pet in to see a veterinarian if you suspect a screw worm, because it can cause chronic infection if it ruptures inside the wound. 🪰 Cats and dogs are accidental hosts of the cuterebra larvae, as they much prefer rodents and rabbits. 🪰
