**This post was made because of responses I read online last night targeting other people, not me. I have had several reach out privately, and I love that! My company has been bashed in the past. **$$ LET'S TALK PRICING.**$$ Kindness shines. 🌞 NOW, as a small business and being my only income, I strive to do the BEST I can for the clients who hire me. The customers who shop with us make the business successful. So, we have three factors in the estate sale business: clients, customers, and me! I spend days (not hours) researching and pricing thousands of items. Sometimes, the clients want to add to this. Getting on Facebook and bashing estate sales or any business for pricing is just not nice! If one person does not like the price, the next person might walk right up and purchase it and is tickled to get it. I am speaking for all companies, not just mine. I have had people in the past complain and even tell others not to shop. I am constantly reading and following other companies, and it makes me sad to see such negativity on anyone's page. Do not use this opportunity to bash other companies here. I see lots of things that I personally say TO MYSELF, what were they thinking! Also, the reason I don't answer pricing questions is because, most of the time, I am not at the house, and I can not always remember the prices. Anyone wants to discuss in a nice fashion, jump in! As always, Happy Hunting.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE HIRING AN ESTATE SALE COMPANY. I would like to take this time to share information with those seeking to hire an estate sale company. 🙂 1). It is imperative to have a solid plan as to where you will be living BEFORE you ever decide to sell your home. The best case scenario is to move, have an estate sale, and then sell your home. Make sure that if your home does sell, you have plenty of time to move and still have a sale before the new buyers take possession. Time and time again, I am seeing elderly people selling with 30 day closings, with no idea where they are moving to, which also creates a huge dilemma hiring an estate sale company on such short notice. Not to mention the stress of searching for a home, movers, etc. This simply should not be happening. This is a huge transition, so it needs a well detailed plan. 🙂 2). I ask the family to leave the work to us. Take personal items and whatever you decide to keep. Donating, organizing, and throwing items away is just not needed. The more you leave, the better the sale. That's what we are hired to do, leave that work to us!! 🙂 3). Timing is everything! Most established professional estate sale companies are booked out several months. Coordinating with an estate sale company is every bit as crucial as booking with a realtor, senior living, movers, etc. 🙂 4). If I can not meet your timeline, I am always willing to give referrals of companies I am familiar with. The companies I network with will take good care of you. 🙂 5). Commission. It varies depending on the sale in question. Contents, work involved, size of sale, home, outbuildings, cleanliness, etc. I will say you will never miss the commission if you hire a well established company. We know what to do! 😍I SURE HOPE THIS HELPS IF YOU ARE THINKING OF HIRING A COMPANY!!
