When our community shows up, our pets feel it. 💕

Huge thanks to the for supporting Tulsa Animal Services and helping make the holidays brighter for shelter animals.

And also Danielle, who hosted her own toy drive for shelter pets this holiday season!

Every donation, big or small, helps us care for pets who are still waiting for their forever homes - and we couldn't do it without partners like these.

Feeling generous this season? Our shelter pets would love to be on your nice list. 🎄🐾

Big hearts. Big generosity. Big thank-you to the students from Owasso High School!

Their students and staff showed up for shelter pets with donations that will help keep our animals cared for, comfortable, and feeling the love this holiday season.

It means the world to our team, and even more to the pets waiting for their forever homes, when young people step up to make a difference. This is compassion in action, and we're so grateful.

Feeling inspired? Shelter pets are always on the nice list and would love your support this season. 💛

Stop everything - this one made us cry happy tears. 🥹🐾

Sarah, a former Tulsa Animal Services pup who found her forever home, came back to visit dressed as Santa Paws - delivering treats to her shelter friends and spreading pure holiday joy.

Seeing our alumni thriving and coming back to give love reminds us exactly why we do this work. Thank you, Sarah and her amazing human, for making the season extra magical for our pets.

This is what happily-ever-afters look like, and there are so many more waiting.

Santa Paws made an early stop at Tulsa Animal Services thanks to !

Their team donated dog food, tasty treats, and cozy blankets to help keep our pups warm, fed, and very spoiled this holiday season.

This kind of generosity makes a real difference for shelter pets waiting for their forever homes - and we're so grateful for community partners who show up with full hearts (and full wagging bowls).

If you're looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer, donations are always welcome. Our pets promise to say thank you with kisses and tail wags! 🎅🐾

✨Home for the Holidays: Recap ✨
What a weekend! From December 19-21, our shelter was overflowing with holiday cheer, happy tears, and the very best kind of magic - 95 pets finding their forever homes! Dogs. Cats. Even chickens. All heading home just in time for the holidays.🐶😺🐔

We laughed, we cried, and yes... Santa Paws made an appearance, with our own Shelter Director dressing up to spread some extra cheer. But the real stars were the adopters who opened their hearts and homes to shelter pets who needed them most. Even Santa Paws stopped by - with Shelter Director Sherri Carrier suited up and spreading cheer - but the real magic came from every adopter who chose love and gave a shelter pet a fresh start.

After a big, joyful push, our hardworking staff will take a well-deserved pause to rest and recharge.

📅 The shelter will be closed December 23-25 and no intakes will be accepted during this time.

🚨Emergency reminder: If you experience an animal-related emergency while we are closed, please call TPD Dispatch. Tulsa Police will notify our animal control officers.

Thank you for making this season brighter, warmer, and full of second chances.

Medical Monday: Meet Cheddar Bay

Cheddar Bay (A178717) came to us as a neighborhood stray after being found with a broken leg on December 10. Our clinic team acted quickly, and after evaluation, Cheddar Bay had his rear left leg amputated.

Since then, he's been recovering in our clinic and showins us just how resilient he is. This sweet boy loves to chirp and chatter, and he's already adjusting to life as a tripod like a pro.

Cheddar Bay is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs around 10 pounds. He may be missing a leg, but he's full of personality, affection, and heart - and ready for a loving home.

Come meet Cheddar Bay during open hours or reach out to learn more about adopting or fostering this special guy.

AT-RISK List - URGENT
We need your help NOW. A large number of dogs are at risk at Tulsa Animal Services, and we're running out of time and space.

DEADLINE: MONDAY AT NOON
The reality: Our shelter is overwhelmed. In just the past three weeks, we've taken in more than 500 animals, while only 257 have found homes. That's nearly double the number of animals coming in versus going out.

Recent intake numbers tell the story:
• Nov. 17-24: 173 intakes, 87 adoptions
• Nov. 24-30: 143 intakes, 73 adoptions
• Dec. 1-8: 223 intakes, 97 adoptions

These dogs deserve a chance. They need YOU.

How you can help RIGHT NOW:
✅ ADOPT - Come meet these deserving animals
✅ FOSTER - Even temporary homes save lives
✅ SHARE - Your share could connect a dog with their forever family
✅ DONATE - Help us care for more animals while they wait

Time is critical. Please don't wait; these animals are counting on us.

Foster Friday: Meet Betty

Betty (A175838) is the kind of foster dog people dream of.

She's a total smarty pants who is great on a leash, amazing in the house, house trained, kennel trained, and thrives with other dogs. She loves playtime with pup friends just as much as she loves cuddling, because yes, she's also a certified cuddle bug who has perfected the art of snuggling.

Betty is about 1 year and 4 months old, weighs around 40 pounds, and has been thriving in our foster program since August 8. She's proven herself to be an easy, loving companion who settles in quickly and brings a whole lot of joy.

We're not sure how she does with cats yet, but with dogs and people, she's a rock star.

Think you could be Betty's forever home? Reach out and let us know. We'd love to tell you more about this sweet girl.
