Many thanks to all who used IHR animals in their Live Nativities last weekend! We had animals in Jackson, Greenville, Englewood, Sidney, Pitsburg, and Clayton. Photo below is at Clayton. Looking forward to our busiest weekend, this Friday.

Thanks to all who visited the Ranch this year! We are now closed for the 2025 season and plan to open the first weekend in June 2026. Look for our animals to be in local Live Nativity scenes this Christmas season.

It's the evening after our No Tricks All Treats Halloween party (because I am not great at making sure posts actually go through), and we could not be more grateful for the turn out! Thank you for showing up and participating in everything we had planned. We're hopeful that everyone had a joyous time, and we can't wait for next year! There will be another post with some videos from the night, since everyone was having too much fun for just photos.

We wanted to announce that we will be open for one more weekend! If you came to the party and loved the energy, come see our animals! We are open Friday - Sunday from noon to 6pm! All proceeds earned from last night and our attendance go straight back to the care of the animals. During the winter months we are not open to the public, so we have to earn enough during just a short few months! Remember, it's always a great day at Idle-Hour Ranch!

Okay, folks, you need to know that when you come to the Ranch to see animals on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, you can come back (or stay) that same evening to do "Movies/Videos on the Barn." This includes the entire kids' playland tent and corn maze, as well as three fire pits to roast hot dogs and s'mores and relax in over a dozen lounge chairs centered inside of eight huge stereo speakers! The center chair is mine BTW. But you must park on the West side of the Ranch, accessed by the West driveway. You'll know you are in the right place when you spy the new "IHR" sign! Hope to see you soon!

Geesh Folks- what a great day at the Ranch! I finished a camel ride and a guest comes to me saying "one of your llamas is giving birth! What perfect timing, what a beautiful little boy, and what a great thing to watch right where a dozen or more guests get to witness this great event! It stood up at 1 hour 15 minutes.
