Experience in multiple breeds. Contact Trisha Hess for information. We offer board (stall or pasture), lessons, and training.

We offer horse training from the ground up and have decades of experience from handling weanlings, starting those youngsters in harness or under saddle, finishing work for the show ring. We specialize in Morgan and gaited breeds, but other breeds are welcome. All ages and disciplines welcome, riding or driving. See free to browse our photos for many Morgans we’ve trained and shown over the years. We also have a 4H club, Society’s Blazing Broncos.

A recent cancellation has left an open training slot for November. Winter is the best time to send your youngsters for saddle and harness training or for your trail or show partner to learn some new skills such as neck reining, patterns, or even a new division.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or to reserve your spot!

She’s Miss Lawman
2019 TWHBEA black mare
15.2 hands barefoot

If you are looking for a high quality Tennessee Walker mare to upgrade your breeding program, this gorgeous mare is one you don’t want to miss! She oozes breed type and has a great pedigree to back it up.
She is up to date on routine care, does well in a stall, and lower on the pecking order in a group. She has a friendly disposition and easy to handle on the ground.

Asking $4000 and willing to negotiate for a good home.

PM with any questions.

JAX Java Jolt
2013 Morgan gelding
(meadow Bay Julius x Magentas Central Perk)
15.1 hands

If you’re looking for a Morgan who REALLY can do it all, JJ is your guy! He rides and drives; pick your tack and he’ll do it! He’s got trail experience, show experience, has done lessons, mounted games (such as tag and dodgeball), and he’s got the best personality! He can be turned out with mares or geldings of any age with his biggest concern being whether or not they will mutual scratch with him.

JJ has not been in full training in years, but if we need a trail buddy for a ride around the farm, a 4H kid in need of a horse, tester for a new driving buggy, or just a friendly face to introduce someone to horses, JJ is our go-to! JJ is dependable and safe and willing to give as much or as little as his rider asks of him.

JJ is only being offered for sale because his longtime owner has decided it’s time to spend his retirement traveling with family. JJ was born and raised here has had the same owner for 10+ years so a great home is an absolute must. JJ is up to date on all care and has never had any health or soundness issues.

Priced at $25,000

Hunt, western, and saddleseat videos are available.

We’ve got 3 quality horses an available to great homes right now including a registered Tennessee walker mare who would make a phenomenal broodmare, a registered Morgan who can and will do it all (safely), and the cutest grade Morgan who would be a stand out in the sport horse ring.

Full ads coming out this week but inquiries are welcome!

I grew up spending my summers in a Morgan training show barn that also trained gaited trail horses. As kids, if we wanted to ride we had to catch our own horses (once we were big enough or convince an older kid to help) and get them ready on tie posts outside of the barn so we weren’t in the way for the day to day training operations. My sisters and a handful of other kids would spend our days riding around the farm and staying out of trouble.

Adult me primarily has Morgans in training but this year I’ve had a handful of gaited horses come in for refreshers and it’s been a fun way of changing things up in my day to day routine.

Adult me still catches and tacks up my own horses, but I don’t need anyone to check my bridle. 😜

I’ll have a few training spots open starting in November for saddle and harness training as well as refreshers. Send me a PM and we can discuss you and your horse’s needs.

One thing we love about Morgans is their willingness to learn and sensibility when trying something new. This filly’s enthusiasm for learning lead us to go ahead and hook her to poles for the first time today and she exceeded expectations!

Dixie is a three year old Tennessee Walker and she’s coming along great! She’s super laid back, easy to catch inside or outside, and all around going to be a great trail partner for someone. She has a smooth natural gait and perfectly happy to flat walk.

We made the trip to the Buckeye Morgan Challenge Horse Show with the beautiful yearling filly, CSCM Fancy Free and she was named Grand Champion mare.
We are so proud of Fancy and thank her owner and breeder, Tonie Cowen, for the opportunity to work with this beautiful filly.

Dixie is hitting her stride!

This mare is just 3 years old with the maturity of an older horse. She’s quiet, not at all spooky, and very willing! She is equally comfortable in arena or riding around outside and has ridden on trails around the owner’s farm. She’ll happily flat walk and has a nice smooth gait. Longer video available.

We always love getting updates from our alumni and this one is extra special! JAX Noble Radiance was one of Kathryn’s last foals and began her training (and her show ring debut) here with Trisha Hess.

Athena and owner Tracy Hess are having a fantastic debut season together and they just keep getting better. They are beautifully trained and presented by Burntside Farm.
