Update: ADOPTED

This is Sissy. She is 14 years old.

She ended up in our care this week when her dad had to make an impossible decision about her care.

He reports that dispute her age, Sissy is still spunky and eager for adventure. Unfortunately, adventures at the animal shelter are pretty limited. We need someone to take her home and give her the attention that she deserves.

Sissy weighs 24 pounds, has lived with other dogs and has only a few teeth left. We just know there is someone out there for her. Help us share her story and get her out of the shelter today!

Remember, LPAS is open until 6pm today!

When your Mom’s alarm goes off super early in the morning😠 Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter alumni Neeko went from living in an outdoor pen 24/7 to sleeping in a nice comfy bed. LASI and Family Pet Animal Hospital provided vet care for Neeko when he suffered back trauma. He was able to recover in foster care and found his forever home with a wonderful adopter.

Ever wonder what LASI does with donated funds? We received a request for assistance for a tiny kitten found by a 8 yr. little girl. The eyes were crusted and the baby was weak. LASI made an appointment with South Lafourche Veterinary Clinic this morning and not only does Foggy have an upper respiratory infection, he also had a bot fly larva in his neck (gross right)? He was treated and sent home with meds. His foster family will take excellent care of him and make sure he is neutered through Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter when he weighs over 2lbs. LASI - helping the community of people and pets thanks to your generous donations.

Is your dog bored at home while you are at work?

Do you ever wish there was something for your dog to do and learn things at the same time?

Well we have a new program here at Crazy Beach Dog Training.

I am now offering Day Training Field Trips!

What is this?
I pick up your pup from your house and bring it with me to various places (mainly public stores/park) to work on essential skills needed to be a well rounded dog! We will visit anywhere that i typically train and when it cools down enough ill probably do Beach days! I will work with your dog on leash manners as well as other basic obedience skills needed to navigate public areas.

Requirements:
-Must be fully vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian
-Cannot have any aggression issues (nervous is okay and so are dogs who dont LOVE strangers, they just need to be safe to be out)

Price
-$75.00 per session, these sessions will last anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on our plans for the day and how many dogs I have with me
-I will also offer bathing for $25 extra

Adopt Ella today!

🐾 Meet Ella! 🐾

Ella is an adorable 11-month-old Boxer mix weighing about 30 pounds, and she is ready to find her forever family! ❤️

She is obsessed with humans, gets along well with other dogs and cats, and has so much love to give.

🏠 LPAS is open until 6 PM today if you want to meet Ella!

If Ella hasn’t found her family today, you can also meet her this Saturday at the Adopt Joy event at PetSmart in Houma from 9 AM to 12 PM, where adoption fees will be WAIVED!

🐶 MANY wonderful dogs will be there looking for homes!
