📣 **Important Payment Update**

Due to Louisiana Act 751, businesses may no longer add a separate surcharge when a customer pays with a debit card. While debit card processing fees still apply to our business, we can no longer pass those costs along as a separate fee.

Beginning **August 1, 2026**, the cost of all services will increase by **4%**. Customers who pay by **cash or check will receive a 4% discount**.

As a small business, increasing costs directly affect our ability to support our team, maintain our business, and continue providing the level of care your pets deserve.

Bather / Kennel Help / Front Desk Support

Jo Ann’s Furry Friends is looking for a dependable, hardworking, dog-loving team member to join our team!

This position includes hands-on dog care, bathing, cleaning, caring for boarding dogs, and helping with front desk support on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Schedule: (Approximately 34–35 hours per week)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Includes a 30-minute lunch break

Tuesday and Thursday:
11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Front desk coverage from approximately 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

🐾 Main duties include: 🐾
• Bathing dogs
• Walking and caring for boarding dogs
• Feeding, watering, and monitoring dogs
• Cleaning kennels, trays, bowls, bathing areas, dog yards, and workspaces
• Helping keep the shop clean, sanitary, and organized
• Assisting with end-of-day cleaning and closing duties
• Helping with client check-in/check-out, payments, and basic front desk duties on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and as needed.

• Can follow directions and work independently
• Has strong customer service skills
• Can handle money responsibly and accurately
• Is comfortable cleaning and doing physical work
• Stays calm, kind, and professional with customers
• Pays attention to detail
• Works well with a team

This is an active, hands-on position. Applicants must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, cleaning, safely handling dogs, working in a busy grooming and boarding environment, and being around dog hair, noise, water, cleaning supplies, and normal kennel odors.

This job is perfect for someone who loves dogs but also understands that animal care takes hard work, patience, responsibility, and consistency.

Boudreaux is in need of a new home. His elderly owners are facing health challenges and can no longer care for him. Though it’s a very difficult decision, they want what’s best for him and are hoping to find a kind, loving family. He loves belly rubs.
