☀️🐾 Summer Safety Alert: Hot Asphalt Can Hurt Your Pet’s Paws 🐾☀️
When temperatures rise, pavement gets much hotter than we realize — even on days that don’t feel extreme to us.
Hot asphalt can quickly burn your pet’s paw pads in just seconds. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet!
Here are a few simple ways to keep your pet safe:
🌡️ Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
🖐️ Use the “hand test” — hold your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds
🌳 Stick to grass or shaded areas when possible
👟 Consider protective booties for extra protection
💧 Always bring water on walks
