The walk in petting farm opens Memorial day to Labor day. Still doing Lessons. group riding and private events, Parties at the farm and parties at your house!

FUN!!! This is the best way to describe Duke Petting Farm. Pony parties, unicorns, petting farm Did you know that Duke Farm is a self-funded local Community farm running solely on volunteers and outreach programs? For seven years we have supported the community and our local Veterans and their families by opening our hearts and our farm. The petting farm and pony party revenue sustains the farm so that we can continue our mission. Some of the programs we will offer in 2022 are:
• Community Volunteer opportunities
• A youth leadership and work to ride program for local teens.
• Children’s educational programs using ponies (Mini Mondays!)
• Leadership training using Equine Assisted Learning (EAL).
• We will continue to offer garden boxes for local veteran’s and families
• We are also one of two farms that provide the horses for the children’s Hippotherapy program offered by Mercy Health.
• Field trips: a complete educational farm experience in animal husbandry.
• Onsite birthday parties

Your community donations of $5 per guest to visit our petting farm allows us to feed and care for the animals as well as offering an affordable outing for families. We pride ourselves on being a local “therapy Farm” catering to the Community, our local Veterans, and their families. We will continue to provide workshops, children’s programs, Veteran and community dinners, garden spaces, open riding programs, and volunteer opportunities. We loved this farm experience! We stayed in early October in our self-contained minivan camper as we enjoyed the hiking & museums in the Toledo area. The parking spot was gravelled, level, spacious, private & quiet. The owner was away but son Brandon who also managed the farm was so helpful & gladly showed us the petting farm & introduced us to the animals & their varied personalities. He let us hand-feed the goats, sheep & llamas. They also had horses, rabbits, a cow, miniature ponies, a billy goat, chickens & friendly Rosie the cat. Brandon even offered for us to walk the grounds & watch the sunset from the cozy glider. The farm provides a meaningful petting farm experience for kids, veterans, seniors & community groups. They also operate a horseback riding facility that provides fun for kids as well as those with physical challenges. This was a wonderful stay. As Harvest Host guests, we always leave a place better than we found it, so we helped tidy up around the flagpole honoring our veterans, and made an easy online donation. This is a treasure. Today is the last day for the walk-in petting farm to be open for 2026. Thank you to everyone that has enjoyed our little farm this year during the summer. We will still be doing birthday parties, parties on the farm, parties off the farm and larger events. We also be booking field trips and scout troops into December.
