Don’t mind my chuckling, this guy is still pretty green considering the only real work I’ve done with him so far is some friendly game and yielding… took this opportunity to play with some “scary” objects in the arena and he had an absolute blast with the Parelli ball while still staying soft and paying some mind to me ❤️ love to see a horse with confidence issues start to engage with curiosity!

2017, 16.1hh red OTTB mare (Super Saver – Tapit’s World, by Tapit)

Shelby is 1 year off the track with phenomenal lines. Unlike a lot of the OTTBs I’ve come across, Shelby is not very quirky and is in fact a very cool and level headed mare that wants to work and strives to please. She has been restarted in a western saddle and goes well in a loose ring 3 piece snaffle. Solid walk trot on the trails and loves to really stretch and engage. While Shelby is still green with only 20 rides, her collectiveness would make her great for the barrel pen, or she could even go in the hunter/jumper direction. Where she is like most thoroughbreds, however, Shelby is not an easy keeper. Because of this, previous OTTB experience is a must.

Shelby is respectful to the fence, has great feet, and has been sound barefoot. Experienced rider or trainer preferred. Does well stalled or 24/7 pasture. If it weren’t for hard times financially, I would keep her and finish her as a barrel horse myself. It will be sad to let her go, but it is within her best interest.
