The next challenge for Embark at Unleashed Education was "Soul Searcher." These are shots taken at a high angle with the dog looking up at you, making eye contact. Those "puppy dog eyes" you see every day. I immediately knew that I wanted to do Ben sitting in the midst of his toys. Ben is a toy guy. He doesn't destroy them. He loves to squeak them and he LOVES taking them outside. In fact, Ben always has to pick a toy out of his box to take with him outside. Does he bring them back in? No. So one by one they go outside. We eventually round them all up and bring them back inside. Then the process starts all over again. For 11 years he has done this and for 11 years we have been charmed by it.

Well, I'm excited to say my photo made the top 10! It seems no one can resist the Benjamin and his happy face. They suggested I call it "Life's Work." It definitely is!

Photo update time!

Thursday and Friday photos are all edited and sorted!

Saturday's photos are all edited and just need to be sorted.

That just leaves Sunday's photos to be edited (and there are far less that day since there were a lot fewer runs).

I'm finally starting to come up for air after the trial this past week! Thank you so much to the CNY Shetland Sheepdog Club for having me out to photograph their AKC agility trial. All 4 days were fantastic fun! Great runs, fantastic judge, fun courses. I absolutely love how supportive everyone there is of each other. The groans when a final bar is dropped after a fantastic run. The cheers when people are successful. The absolute excitement when someone nails something they've been struggling with. You guys are fabulous!

I'm hard at work getting through all the photos! Currently all of Thursday's are edited and sorted. Friday's are edited and need to be sorted still. I'm getting started on going through Saturday's and Sunday's photos.

New trial alert! I'm going to be covering the Herding Association of CNY's AKC trial September 5-7. I'll be there all three days to capture all the amazing action!

On the sad side, I am not going to make it out to Premier Dog Sports for the October CPE trial. Some things have come up that make it impossible to travel right then. I hope to be back there soon. I will for sure be back for the Western Lakes Training Club's April 2027 trial!

Coming up next for me is a return to Paws for Thought Farm and shooting my bread and butter: agility!

You'll find me at the CNY Shetland Sheepdog's AKC agility trial in Groton July 30 to August 2. That's right! I'll be there all 4 days to capture every moment of fun and excitement as you all have an awesome time with your best buddies.

The photos from the trial are now live on the site and ready for purchase!

A few things to note:

1. 2. Questions about pricing or how to purchase? Check out the "Event Info" page on my website. Every purchase of all hi-res photos of your dog from the trial come with a free collage! And note that if you purchase all photos of more than one dog, there are discount codes.

2. All of the photos are lightly edited. But more can be done (including removal of humans in many cases)! If you want a fully post-processed photos, reach out!

3. I do my absolute best to make sure every dog is put into their correct folder, but mistakes do happen! If you find wrong dogs in your folder, reach out and let me know so I can fix it!
